Crate BT amps

Hi,
I am planning to get one in the next two weeks, hopefully a BT100 and i was wondering if they were good or not, i have heard many people say that this amp has a slight buzz to it...i am looking for a affordable amp ( in the 400s ) that is powerful enough for small gigs and has a good sound.

best thing to do is go to guitar center or whatever and try it out, and crank it up!

I think you can do better for that. 400 is not only enough to be heard, but to actually sound good, IMO.

But the trick is to find something on sale. names that come to mind are ashdown, ampeg and yorkville.

edit: there is a guy selling this used for 250 on TB. But if you can get a store to sell you this for 400, you will be in good shape. . . looks and sound but HEAVY.
