Crikey, Steve Irwin dead

The Croc hunter Steve Irwin died at the age of just 44.

He was killed while filming with a Stingray, and its barb stuck into him, and he was unlucky enough for it to hit the heart and kill him.

Kind of strange that he has captured some of the worlds most dangerous animals and gets killed by a stingray.

Steve has poured his own money into wildlife conservation the last few years. He is a true Aussie legend. There was a real sadness at work today when we heard the news.

God bless his wife Terri and kids Bindi and Bob.

I'm honestly shocked. Steve Irwin took huge risks every day, yes, but I always saw him as... invincible, almost. I never really thought that something like this would happen to him.

What a terrible loss. I always enjoyed his show.

That's terrible, but still not all that surprised. He did take a lot of chances in the name of entertainment.

I'm not judging him. Obviously he lived his life fully doing what he loved to do. It's just a shame it happened with so much more of his life left.

I really enjoyed him and his show. He will be missed.

Ah man I looked up him. I had T-shirts watched his show everytime it was on, pretended to be him when I found animals outside.

The thing that really gets me is that after all the croc-wrestling and snake-catching and all the other crazy stuff he's done, in the end it was a freakin stingray that got him. Didn't see that coming.
Sucks though, I was a fan. I watched his show all the time when I was younger.

Man, he did more for education and conservation than just about anyone else you can name, especially in the past 20 years. Was he a bit of a showboat, yes, but it was always in the name of HELPING, not for his own personal gain, IMO.

Show some respect, will you?
