I'm looking for a pedal that will give me a really crunchy (for lack of a better word) distortion sound. I'm really not a fan of fuzz. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

sansamp is excellent for crunchy sounds, try out the tri-ac (with 2 other bonus channels) or better, the gt-2
    nice crunch all around

Nothing makes a better crunch sound than real power tubes, not just preamp tubes.

I get a nice crunchy sound from My Guv'Nor and ODB-3 together.
  8. +1 on the Boss ODB-3. brutal distortion can come out of this pedal if you want it to.
