Custom 5 string for Rudy

hi guys,
Here's a 5 string for Rudy Ramirez I've been working on for a few weeks now.

specs:
5 string Model A
neckthrough birdseye maple neck
bubinga/birdseye/walnut transition block
white ash body
quilted bubinga top and matching headstock
Ramirez single coil J style pickups w/wooden covers
Flat fingerboard (his choice! honest!)
26 fret pau ferro fingerboard
35" scale
Audere 3 band Zmode preamp
Black hipshot hardware

Looks beautiful. I like the way you're laminating to get the body thickness for the neck core. Minimizes scrap and I'm sure it'll look great.

That's the first song I ever played in public.. in 8th grade! I brought my B-15 to school. I played that and Rock Steady by Aretha (Chuck Rainey on bass)!

That was 1971.

Here's the fingerboard being glued to the neck. It's already slotted, though you can't tell from the pic.

corners rounded. neck taper finished, need to fret and rough shape the neck before joining the wings.

Wilser... a (maybe) silly question... what do you use to make those holes at the headstock to access the trussrod?
