CUSTOM BASS ALERT! IT'S TAKING SHAPE!

Hey guys,

Have a look at my upcoming May Custom DC-5 French Walnut! It's still in the early stages but I wanted to post pics of the progress. Let me know what you think! Hope to have the bass by the end of the summer:

Maybe it's just me or a trick of the angle, but that fingerboard looks way too narrow for the strings spacing implied by that bridge.

But I dig the design. Reminds me of a Washburn Taurus. And of course the woods are gorgeous.

if i know shawn; hes probbly doing some binding on it etc. this aint his first rodeo, and he does some FANTASTIC work; and this looks like no exception.

Yeah. This will be my second bass from Shawn. The last was a 6-stiring built in 2007. I've been extremely happy with it and the stuff he's cranking out nowadays is even better.

Thanks dremy. Gonna have Nordstrand Dual Coils (and a Nordstrand Preamp) and purple block fingerboard inlays with LED top dots.

Here's a shot of the fretboard. It's hard to tell, but the side dots are fiber optics powered by an LED (they'll be yellow in the finished product).
