Hey guys tell me what you think of this??

Gonna have this bad boy in my posession pretty soon.

Plan on losing the "6" inlay and the maple border around the black "swirl"

I love the fingerboard. Is that a palemoon top?

wow. I just noticed that the original thread I started a few years ago when I ordered my Sadowsky P/J is now closed, as of last week.

Well, time to rejoin this group. I just put my deposit down yesterday on a new Nordstrand. Probably gonna wind up being an NX body shape and a 5 string. Now all I have to do is remind myself to forget about it because the wait time is gonna be probably 14 months.

Gonna be one hell of a wait, but thank god I am busy in and out of music to the point that it should move by pretty quickly.

I might eventually make the long drive to his Socal shop to pick woods and stuff.

Anyway. Here we go again.

Stpvoodoo1 - That bass is just awesome. I've never seen that much pale moon ebony on a bass. Come to think of it, i haven't seen that much pale moon ebony ever !!

thewanderer24 - The waiting does go pretty quick doesn't it. I don't know the distances you have to travel but I'm 400 miles away from the shop where my Sei bass is being built.

I'm 7 months down the line and it's all gone remarkably quickly with now just a couple of months left. I think if i still lived in London, I'd be round there every couple of weeks or so :D

I love the paduak usage!

Is that FB a flat radiused board?

Really, the first few weeks and the last few weeks are by far the hardest. Once you are somewhere in the middle you don't spend much time thinking or worrying about it. I don't really even have to decide on any kind of details yet, right now, cause the start date is so far out.

The shop is about a 5 hour drive from my house, so I figure I can make a little mini road trip out of it. I'll probably do the same when the bass is eventually done...

Yeah, I agree with that !! I can make London in about 5 1/2 hours from Glasgow. Not that I go faster than the 70mph speed limit we have in the UK ;)
