Specs:
Unicorn Artist 3200 5-string
- Set neck.
- 32", 24 frets.
- Mahogany body.
- Bookmatched Koa top with matching headstock.
- Maple neck with Wenge laminations.
- Rosewood fretboard.
- 2-piece bridge (in the style of Alembic/Warwick).
- Quad mk. II-pickups. (basically ceramic blade pickups with 3 selectable coils combinations on each pickup).
- Trinity quad-preamp (4-band).
- Black accent veneer between body and top wood.
- Black hardware with gold bridge saddles for accent.

Need I say I'm a "bit" excited?

It will probably end up sounding a lot like my first Stambaugh which is a good thing. I've never played a more comfortable (and fast) neck as my Stammies. Are you getting a tung oil finish?

Hey, I have a Swedish friend who's ordered a 6-string Bee, he's been trying to reach Fred but with no success - he hasn't got any updates on his bass for a LONG time.

Um whatever Chris' normal oil finish is, that's what I'm getting. He's going to send me some pics of some different Maple for the top later in the week which he said are 'superior for oil finishes' so yes!

Yeah, I believe it's mainly tung oil but it's a great finish. Obviously lacks the protection of a thick poly finish but it shows off woods so nice (especially maple - which will get a very slight amber tint - check out the "pickguard" on my first Stammie) and it is super smooth to the touch. The neck ends up being lightning fast and it lets the bass "breathe" for a more woody and lively tone. Make sure to post progress pics

I got 8 weeks wait, or so they said, for my custom ASAT G&L fretless

natural finish,gloss neck, graphite nut,ebony, unlined fingerboard, swamp ash body,number 8 neck and the ASAT isn't the ASAT until it has the f whole

Been waiting 18 looooooong months for this one to arrive, it should be shipping to me any day now:

Also I have a Bordwell and G&L on order, but I've only been waiting a month and a few days, respectively, so I don't need any support for those just yet.

Oddly enough I think of the three, I'm most excited about the G&L, which is the least custom, lowest cost, and shortest wait. Maybe because I've been wanting an L-2000 off and on for some 15 years now.
