Nice! Can't wait to see that!! I have spec'd out a 5 string, 35" scale 58-style P bass with Nino.. I basically want a 5 string version of this:I'm back in the club! A local luthier named Eric Johnson (in Bowie MD, not the TX guitarist) is building me a 1958-style passive 5-string P-bass. Best of all, Eric will do an asymmetric neck profile!
Not sure about turnaround time yet... may depend on finding a gold anodized guard.
Just FYI, Nino mentioned that anodized guards are hard to find and recommended a brushed gold pickguard. Not sure about turnaround time yet... may depend on finding a gold anodized guard.

I can't recommend Nino and his basses enough!! I'm loving my VTP5!Nino Valenti was (and still is!) on my short list, but EJ lives just a few miles from me and 4 other local musician friends are repeat customers of his.
I'm out with this new ACG.

Not plugged her in yet, but man alive this is an incredible bass.
VERY VERY happy man right now.
I'm also back in with another ACG underway, a 4 string Recurve Bolt-on, Kingwood Top on Black Limba Body, Ash/Wenge/Ash neck with Wenge Fingerboard

Incredible. I love how that body shape turned out, and of course everything else about it screams "amazing" as well. Congrats!
The new build looks pretty fantastic, can't wait to see how that one turns out too.

I'm waiting on mods of two Rondo Hadean solid body bass ukuleles. The blue one is being done by Fren Asken here in Los Angeles, the red violin body is being made by Ron Herron of Blue Star Guitar in Michigan (who made my Telecaster style mini bass I posted earlier) using all the existing parts from the sunburst one.
Very nice!
I'm just going to leave this here, hope the link works!
