What is that?
Yup...I assumed this was going to be yours! I can't wait to see that one finished...amazing!!!
Curious about the position of the pickups; you have the front one low and the back one high, is the on purpose, because all the P basses I've seen are the opposite.
...the "reverse P" config is usually done to give more growl/punch/whatever-you-wanna-call-it to the B-E-A strings, and more depth to D and G. I have a reverse P that I usually use for modern rock because to my ears it has a more modern sound, but overall I prefer the standard P.
Exactly. I'm personally not a fan of the standard P configuration and prefer the more even tonal response of the reversed P.I can't answer for dedpool, but the "reverse P" config is usually done to give more growl/punch/whatever-you-wanna-call-it to the B-E-A strings, and more depth to D and G. Just bought a mini P-bass specifically to have it painted sea foam green and then I'm changing the pickguard to pearl along with matching block fret markers. Should be done in about two weeks.

Ok, these are cool! Where'd ya' get it from? Edit: No worries, I found 'em! Too cool. I might try to pick up one of these...![]()
Here's the finished product, excellently painted by Pat Wilkins, which only took about 2 weeks. I couldn't find matching pearloid pickguard and block fret markers, so for now I just put on the basic pearl fret markers I had. Played it today at rehearsal with my 30 person ukulele group, sounded really good.
