Custom Bass Wait Support Group Needed!!!

Man, this thread has some killer basses in it! I love that Stambaugh, and that Dingwall is out of control!!!!
Stew- doing good my man, the pickups are great, I really like them. So much so that I almost wish the bass was passive with a tone knob and a coil tap, instead of the complex Audere. Really the audere doesn't color the tone at all, and it lets the gorgeous tone of the DC's come through, so it works great. I must tell ya, they are great pickups!!! The next chance I get to choose some pickups, it'll be fatstacks in a fretted for sure!!
Oh, and they are just aluminum fretmarkers, not small frets (they do kind of look like it
) If you want fretlines in a fretless roscoe with diamondwood, its alumimum or nothing apparently, and I think they look pretty cool anyways.

its both actually. Birdseye is the "other" color for diamondwood. Same manufacturer, same process, same hardness, just happens to look like birdseye. The fingerboard, covers and ramp are all made out of it.

That Roscoe, though, is one of the most awesome basses I have seen !! Love the woods, colour, the 'board is wild. Methinks you're gonna be one happy bunny for a fair few years !! Huge congrats !!
I've had a little more news on my Sei 7 as well. The body now has the Flamboyant offset shape and the 'board should go on this week. Hopefully, some photos this week (hang on, didn't I say that last week as well ...).

top appears to be birdseye maple with some (dark) heart near the edges. (or minor spalting )

hey Ben,
it is indeed birdseye for the top, fretboard, headstock cap and pickup cover.
at this point it's a no control bass but the custom Fat Stack in there may be a bit wiry without anything so we may have t throw a capacitor or something in there.
the bass will have a fourths tuning from low F# to high F natural.

I have missed having a Conklin... and this one will be my first bolt-on from the custom shop!

Nothing quite sounds like a Conklin, in my opinion. Is yours the first ever to have a Nordstrand stuck in it? I bet it'll sound wicked.
