wonderful! that's so great to hear, man!wolfbass1025 said:... the pickups are great, I really like them. So much so that I almost wish the bass was passive with a tone knob and a coil tap, instead of the complex Audere. Really the audere doesn't color the tone at all, and it lets the gorgeous tone of the DC's come through, so it works great. I must tell ya, they are great pickups!!! The next chance I get to choose some pickups, it'll be fatstacks in a fretted for sure!!
gorgeous, man! congratulations!!spicolli said:Awwww yaaaaa!!
Fred sent me these pics today, and says the pickup should be shipped out(from germany)on wednesday.

Stewmc5222 said:hey Ben,
it is indeed birdseye for the top, fretboard, headstock cap and pickup cover.
at this point it's a no control bass but the custom Fat Stack in there may be a bit wiry without anything so we may have t throw a capacitor or something in there.
the bass will have a fourths tuning from low F# to high F natural.
thanks for asking, man.
I have missed having a Conklin... and this one will be my first bolt-on from the custom shop!
