just wonder how i can get it to him, i don't have a case for it, and none of my gigbags are wide or long enough for this bass.

All the hardware pretty much is solid brass. No aluminium on this bass, as far as i know.
Well, then i suppose you gotta use Dunlop Heaviest strings on it....![]()
I've played dunlop bass strings, and TBH, they didn't sound as punchy as D'addario strings. Also, cause i'm pretty much now a die hard fan of D'addario strings (have it on all my guitars/basses) they just have that special ring to them. I may or may not have pro steels on this bass as opposed to XL but i'll see when the time comes.
P.s. I'm also going to start clear coating the body, and finish up the clear coat on the neck as well.
The original g3 or reissue?
It's a 1982 and it weighs a lot, but I love it! Odd color for a G3...its a metal flake red line they used on Victory's, and an ebony fingerboard. I've owned several Grabbers, Rippers and G3's over the years. Love em!
