Well, the bass is done! I got it on saturday, and WOW, WOW, WOW. It looks amazing, plays amazing, and sounds amazing. Took it to band practice last night and blew the guys away with it. Tone cuts through with amazing clarity. Holy crap.

I'm going to post full detail pics soon, as soon as I can figure out how to take some pictures that actually look good! I think I am camera-disabled. All my photos look terrible. Soooo stay tuned for final pics, and an up close and personal look at Vadim's latest creation!

This is pretty neat. Rather than just using a bone nut, he put a piece of ebony over top of it. You can see the bone underneath. The slotting goes through the ebony and partially into the bone.

You can also see the maple veneer under the dark curly walnut top of the headstock.

A shot of the back and side. You can see the dark curly walnut on the back, the maple veneer, and the lighter curly walnut core. A nice addition. The neck though is dark walnut, maple/wenge/maple, light walnut, maple/wenge/maple, dark walnut.

The pickups are handwound dual P's and the preamp is handmade as well - volume, blend, hi, hi-mid, low-mid, low. The tonal versatility this bass has is absurd.
