CuteCube² Guitar - Play-in System for String Instruments

And you can stop right there. He has an agenda.

Well if he's an owner/employee of the company, TB commercial user policy applies.

If he's an endorser he needs to disclose that as well.

Either way, if you suspect he's got an agenda, I suggest you report him and let the mods decide. Both offenses are bannable I believe.

Actually people who believe they are playing a bass embued with more mojo tend to play better. Amother reason the test is doomed. We need blindfolds, two identical basses, and lots more popcorn. :)

True enough. @bassfunkman, do you have another jazz bass and a friend who can help? When you record the "after" samples, have them blindfold you and alternately hand you both basses without telling you which is which, but only hit "record" when you're playing the cube'd bass.

Maybe gloves would be necessary too?

Either way, a singleblind comparison may not be as reliable as a doubleblind, but it's significantly more reliable than a not-blind-at-all one...

Um, so it's a 179 Euro mp3 player to keep your basses entertained while you aren't using them so they don't get bored stiff?

Come on people, please don't start this conspiracy thing. I do not endorse the CuteCube or have anything to do with the company or the seller. Neither do I have any agenda here. This is not nice to say. I just posted about the device because I really love what it does, maybe some of you would dig it too. I didn't think of an A/B comparison when I posted, but then it seemed the right thing to do so you guys can see yourself what it really does. My old Fender, that has been sleeping in the basement for 10 years popped into my mind, I keep that bass for sentimental reasons because back then we were on a gig-spree for two decades, had a ball and made shitloads of money. That's the only one of my instruments that I've never used the CuteCube on. In a week from now I'll post the B-part, please be patient. I'll do my best to keep the test as true as possible. Honestly. Thank you :)

I used Google translate on the page, just found the results amusing, this warning is towards the bottom:
The housing of the transformer must NEVER be depressed so that a free oscillation is no longer possible. The coil of the transformer is hot in this case, the housing may verschmort and eventually burns through. Dsa housing always fix very very lightly. Whether you fixed the housing with an adhesive strip on the Bridge or a long rubber band over the body biases, the unit must never be depressed !!
"Verschmort" seems like such a good word, but my 40 year old German is rusty - "char", apparently! And be nice to your unit, don't want it getting depressed! :)

Man, I hate it when my gear verschmorts!

What scientific principal does this device employ that would make a bass better?

What scientific principal does this device employ that would make a bass better?

Obvious. It induces a resonant stream of tachyon particles, which constructively interfere with the medichlorian cells in the wood, thereby extending the crystaline structure into the fifth dimension, resulting in theta wave echoe hardening of the wood and a resultant increase on tonal quality. Simple as that.

If I was a fortune cookie i might have an answer. As I'm just an ignorant bass player I don't have a clue what the scientific impact is. Wish I could present you any results right now, sorry we got to wait a week for me to present the results of the treatment. Then you can decide if there is any difference yourself. If there will be a change to the positive, who really cares why? It is or won't. Anyone really wants to investigate why the Ampeg has a fat round bottom? Nah, you just play and enjoy it. Simple as that :)

It's faith-based selling. You are telling the rabble to trust you. When rabble rabbles, you really have no actual proof except promise of proof that nobody can really prove.

It is legit as the linament my grandparents reconstituted from turpentine that had warming effects when placed on skin, yet really did nothing.

You had a fantastic troll otherwise. Maybe try Facebook.
