I love 8x10's (except for when it is time to move them). My band leader has a sweet Ampeg SVT-CL 8x10 rig at his house that I use during practice.

A couple of years ago I picked up a pair of Acoustic B410 cabs that I thought would be beaters but I friggin love the punchy sound they have. I went back to BagEnds this year and two little 15's stand toe to toe with the 2 410s so its a no brainer which ones to take. But if I ever get a roadie,...

I have a JBL 1x15 cabinet that I freaking love. It's a 4625B cabinet with an E140 driver. Unfortunately, it's pretty big and heavy for a 1x15. Still, I would love to find another one to pair it with.

That would be a monster pairing DT. I've thought about getting a Fearful 2x12 with mid drivers or two 15/6 cabs, but they are pricey and the BagEnds more than give me what I need. Any more than that and I should be going through a PA.

I've been using a Peavey TVX 210 under my Fender Bassman 400 since October. I'm thinking that a single 15" might be the way to go to get the old school tone that I'm looking for.

A Bassman 115 is on CL right now. It is a match age-wise with my Bassman 400. The guy want's $150, which seems reasonable.

nice bassman Drummer. How can you go wrong with that Fender cab? So long as it works I think you should snatch it up. Those bassman heads sound so warm. I bet it's straight old school with your new Pbass.

holy mackerel - no talent here compared to the 'bagger when it comes to the visual arts. But before CWB 14 ends, since it was named after "Whiskey and Beer", here is an approximation of what the CD sleeve will look like.

I'm really shooting for the old school tone, it's what moves me. I know that the punch of tens is whats in vogue right now, and I like that sound too. But a P-bass with flats through a Fender 15" is pretty iconic.

Drummer, I always got stuck carrying my drummers rack/stand bag. But where were they when I needed my gear moved? :)
I think I can put off the micro heads for a bit longer, but work smart not hard I always say.

I was never a fan of 10s but I eventually came over to them and honestly, they do allow for some great snap while producing more low end than most 15s. The folks on the cabinet threads always have lively discussions about pretty much every debatable aspect of cabinet design. My ears say that two BagEnds I have now are my overall best sound I've had. One with a coax drive and one without. It's all about compromise with cabs: weight, size, drivers, power, etc. Perhaps these are my best compromise all around cabs.

I think you'll find the sound you are looking for in that setup. Typically, I never liked mixing driver sizes or cabinet companies, but for the price of that cab, it's worth a roll of the dice.
