That's so awesome - I love it when someone else understands the mysery of keeping english sports cars running......damn webers!!! I've got a custom harley with an S&S 107 and the baker 6 speed as well. It serves me well!! And I wish I had just one of my 7 TR-6's left but alas, I lost patience with those years ago so good luck!!

After my toyota supra I'm spoiled. So bummed when that got totaled. Miss my bikes too. Had a few cool dirt bikes and a crap your pants fast street bike. Looking back, i've made it through all that with all my digits and both my legs.

Now I just drive my mojovan like I've robbed a bank when I need that rush, and live through you guys when you talk bikes and cars. :)

no mystery to keeping english stuff alive... jut don't let the smoke out of the Lucas electronics..
and the BJ8 has the SU carbs

KTM North America's HQ is local. This bike only has 11K on it. There is no way a part like that should fail in the way that it did. They are most definitely going to hear from me.

you don't really need it...you have three more, right?
what make and model? ...you never know, I might have something in the "junk pile". We have a lot of take off stuff that people leave when they upgrade to performance parts

Backin the late 80's/early 90's I had a 68 Camaro. It was really a POS that I sank a lot of dough into. Unfortunately not enough to make it actually worth something.

Most of you have seen my current toy. I'm not a bike guy. I like to go fast with 4 wheels under me.

Thanks. Here is my mando story for the night.

About four years ago I moved my upright from the practice space into the living room which was more convenient for practicing by myself. Mrs C3 comes home, walks into the room and kind of does a double take and says "that thing is huge." Not thrilled but tolerating me as she usually does.

A few weeks later the band asks me if I can play mandolin on a couple of songs, and I think I can but I don't own one. I don't feel guilty about owning a bunch of basses but I felt a little guilty about going out and spending dough on a mandolin since, uh, I'm a bass player. But I do it anyway, and move the upright back into the practice space.

So now I'm sitting on the couch in the living room practicing the mandolin and Mrs C3 comes home, walks into the room and kind of does a double take and says "what's that thing?" I said "I know you thought that upright was taking up too much room, so I put it back in the practice space and got this little one to practice on." She gave me this approving look - like, what a considerate husband. :p

Could be worse, DT. You know how to turn your own wrench and you have other bikes to ride....life is good.

I was a Harley dealership mechanic from 1979 to 1986 (AMI grad where they taught us, "Lucus was the inventor of darkness"; owning a Triumph I know you understand this) while going back to school to get my mechanical engineering degree.

Quite so. I still get kinda moody when one of my toys breaks, though. I originally thought it to be 500 bucks to repair, but going through the repair manual revealed that I was looking at the wrong part. I can breathe easier knowing it won't be as expensive.
