Ostensibly he is spamming Revs stuff. We all know the real reason. Thumpketeers.

Go to go build more deer fences before it gets dark.

:smug:
I promise to behave my friend...

Sounds like fun...and reminds me of all the work I need to do as well.
Ok time to go on soon....
Cheers

good for you. don't get discouraged. I try all kinds of stuff - some works out, some doesn't. but even the efforts that don't work out are often great learning experiences. (not always, but mostly.)

oh, and I miss you.

I'm not discouraged. I had a good time, and I learned some new stuff. Even if I didn't get that gig, the learning is good stuff that I appreciate.

Oh, and I miss you, too.

Thanks BSB :hiding: (That 10 bucks is in the mail)

Cheers

Welcome - but....I haven't seen any pictures of you with your bass, or you with your rig, or you with your boots, or you with your cars/motorcycles...or spoons....or stuff. Care to indulge me? I'll try to keep my impulse control in check. ;)

If there is decent PA support and monitoring, I'd rather have stage volume be low and balanced. Much easier to communicate.
Large room or outdoors Big Rig situations the guitar player runs in stereo, with an amp on either side of the stage. I put an extension cab on the other side of the drums, so the 6 stringer and I can hear each other over our respective rigs of doom.

You mean the drums of doom, right?

Be careful! Don't ever say that over in one of the Amp or Live Sound forums!

But we're a lot more accepting over here!:bassist:

Good thing - else I'd be in trouble on a regular basis. I love the mix of a 1x15 and a 4x10. :p

May go to an OM tonight, if it was now, I wouldn't have the energy. Mrs.TG wanted a cab next to the sink painted and insisted on oil paint, I did 2 coats of shellac sealer, and the oil paint went on yesterday morning. I woke up at 4:30 AM with a massive headache even though I had 2 exhaust fans on.

Tired
Groggy
But I'm ok for now.

:smug:

And Bass Goddesses....we deserve rig spam. :D The new baby is getting excellent playtime. I just still have to find the perfect strap for her and I haven't yet.

Hope you're getting those fumes blown out of the house and your head. Those headaches are awful.

I used to use oil paints all of the time. (Which may explain a lot of things about me.)

The last time that I used oil paints I had the same reaction. It makes you wonder if the formulas changed to something even worse for you...

Hey hon - how ya doing? Holding up okay?

BTW - The paint was probably just an enhancer. I think that stuff had to be there already. ;) But I like ya just the way you are. Yanno - after our chat the other day - bring the cajon to Reading if you have room to pack it. They're going to have some jams going - and we can have an impromptu one ourselves if we want. :D Just tell me what you want to play so I can learn it before we get there.

You're gonna behave? That'll take all the fun out of it. There's are certain amount of misbehavior that we expect and encourage in a MoCWB. If you like, private lessons can be arranged. :D

:D

We are hanging in there. Jackie came home for a couple of days. She is headed back to Richmond today. Her father is supposed to have surgery on Monday, so keep him in your thoughts.

I'm going to try to get some painting done while she is gone to surprise her when she gets back. (It's keep my mind busy too.)

Yes, I'll bring the cajon. As for songs, I'll play anything you want with you.

Ill make a ginger burst into flames with a deep stare; they are already so close to being on fire, they just need a nudge ;)

LOL!!

Question for you guys. I had been thinking about what C3 said about going into the PA, so yesterday afternoon I tried a little experiment. We've been using Harbinger APS12's for our mains, so what I put a little bass into the mains while my rig (GK MB200 and a 210) carried the rest. The result blew me away. The result was warm, full, and clear! I wouldn't dare put all the bass into those speakers, as the built-in amp will clip like crazy.

Now, my question is this: Being that we don't mic the drum kit except for the kick drum and the guitarist's 212 100W amp is plenty loud, would it be feasible for me to run my bass like that?

DT, I put a bit of bass through the mains anytime we have them to even out the sound. I'm totally with C3 on the use of a smaller amp for good stage volumes. It's the pro way to do it. It's nicer for the audience too when they don't have to get blasted by the bass rig for sound. So we do about 1/2 out gigs with a little of everything in the PA.

The rest of our gigs are like an oldschool concert where we have to control the dynamics and the room from our gear on stage. It makes for a more challenging situation, but is also great for reminding us to control our dynamics and interact more cohesively as a band.

Glad you experimented w it and liked the results.

Challenge accepted.

He he....

You aren't aware of the MoCWB's secret weapon.

I am red haired.

So your redheaded whiles and voodoo don't work on me.

And I'm secretly training my friends methods to resist your powers.

Why would you want to resist a Ginga? We are awesome.

Ha! Is this the best gauntlet you have?

Um... why would we want to resist their powers?

'Zactly!!!

Because they will shred your soul and leave you a barren, wasted shell of a man.

I'm just watching out for my brothers here.

I've never done that to a man. You've seen my dating horror stories. I would never use my Ginga powers for that kind of evil.
