LOL..space where we're currently playing is TIGHT.
well, FOH is actually better when space is tight. Just go with one of the mains. Done it plenty.
But again - I love big bass rigs, don't get me wrong.

Honestly, the weight is the only thing keeping me from having 2 BagEnd 410 cabinets. I don't want a rig that weighs the same I do.![]()
We have a big feast at our house and my Army friend will be coming.

They are 8 ohms each.
Are the BagEnd 4ohm cabinets?
I'm reading all the bass cab posts on here with interest, but I have to say I'm going in the opposite direction. I'm interested in my bands having a fat-ass front of the house PA system that can handle bass, such that I can use a small Genz Benz head and monitor back where I am. I totally understand the rationale of doing it your way, but as time goes on I think the FOH way of looking at it is better. Long topic, I know. The "Live Sound" forum is where I hang out on TB besides CWB. The Shoemakers are my secondary band and not that talented but the mains are serious 15s that can handle bass fine. Plus there's the option of subwoofers.
Or, to put it differently, someone other than me can carry all that heavy stuff.
Seriously, I try to look at it from the audience's point of view, and I think a fully mixed band at the FOH point of attack is enjoyed more than the mega rig approach.
Again, just my .02, and I love big rigs too.
Cool...
If you are ever interested in nice sounding 8 ohm 410s that are light (cabs coming in about 59-61 lbs) you should check out REVsound RS410T. Celestion loaded neos.
Hey Basswave,
Got any links for them? I'd be interested to see their specs. Sounds nice.
Sounds like a great welcome home! Well that's what she said!![]()
The site is getting completely revamped...(I think right after the holidays)

Here is a little video of the 210 (Little bassballs on there)

My main thought behind making a 2x15 is to increase the internal volume of the cabinet for a lower frequency response, and to make it with lighter birch and internal bracing to lighten it up some.
Iiiinteresting. How much, pray tell, are their cabs?
LOL, i'm beginning to think bass players have almost as much dirty minds as our drummers do.

I prefer to call it "Badness Enhanced."
Thunder Dude, you have the kernel of a hit song there. Can I steal it iffen you ain't gonna?
I hear ya. Model the boxes (and drivers) using cabinet design software to get ya in the ballpark.
I have to admit that the cheapie Seismic 210 cab seems to handle the low B fine..not as loudly as I would like, but it doesn't sound flabby or distorted. My biggest beef with em is that they are made out of MDF. I'm currently looking for two decent quality 210s that can handle a low B.
I be somewhat of a cross between Native American Spirituality and Pagan... yes.
Thor, did you play the Coax model or the regular 15?
One sounds great, but a pair is pretty stout. For a 4 string rig I'd never look any further. They don't put quite the low I'd like for my B strings, but they aren't farty in the least.
Playing my stack here with the Aguilar DB750. The sound you hear is a mix of the board and my Zoom video camera. I went to the board from my DI on the head. I rarely use effects so it's just bass>head>board/BagEnds.
They are super nice, but if I could have them in one box that had a bit more bass, That would most likely be my rig 90% of the time.
Yes, we do.
I prefer to call it "Badness Enhanced." Evil sounds so negative and I'm a pretty positive person overall.

Mmm, well i say "Evil" with a slightly malicious, flirty smile on my face.![]()
