Open mic night. Met up with Tom and played the charity bass for a couple of songs. I'm really surprised I didn't throw up on someone. I did okay. They threw a different arrangement at me and I lost my place a couple times, but no one threw bottles at me.

IMO: the main thing about playing live is to know that the audience (for the most part) will hear the good things you play and will let slide the small deficiencies you'll remember.
IOW, the self-criticism that will will tell you what to practice for the next gig in no way determines the audience's perception of the quality of your last performance. The self-criticism is in your head; what they heard is another thing.
Edit: besides that, your boots looked cool. Right, FM?
They dug what you did. And that's good. And you perceived what could be better, and that's good, also.
And your self-criticism points you toward how you'll take it to your next level, the next time you play.
I recommend this mindset to you! I took me four decades to understand, and it works very well, IME/IMO.
