Czech this out...

Anyone else click through the rest of that album? Some very interesting pieces in there - some amazing, some junk, some both. I like their style...

Words....there are none, *** is the silver and black thing over the P pickup, are those switches?

Quite possibly one of the least attractive basses I've seen in a while:

It was actually my first bass guitar, same but yellow (I was born and grew up in the USSR)... Surprisingly very comfortable player (no neck dive!) but sounded terrible of course. In USSR the instruments made in Czech republic were considered kinda "good" compared to the crap made in the USSR which were unplayable junk. So do not mix Czech instruments with USSR ones, I know that it's all perceived kinda ex-Soviet camp but the background of instruments builders in Czech were much more advanced than in Russia(USSR). We all played Czech guitars in USSR until somebody got to try a Fender:D

You've just nailed it! :D This was in production in mid 80th, but you can hardly find anything like this in Russia or Czech now after we've had a chance to play normal basses and guitars.

Made me think of these:

And of course:

(Hmmm, wonder whether they used a Jolana on that track!)
