Dad band names

Some recent threads have concerned "Dad bands". I was unfamiliar with that term until a few days ago. This got me thinking of how to rise to the top of the heap in this new and potentially explosive entertainment segment. Like in any other genre, a catchy name may well be the first step. Keeping in mind that a good moniker is not only an advertisement of sorts, but is a description of who and what you represent musically. Let's have some fun brainstorming. Here goes:

Grey Sabbath

The Catheteers

Semper Swollen

Lumbago Bay

Dr. Plumber and the Butts

The 48 States

The Jeri Attrix Experience

Your turn!

Grey Sabbath is an Awesome name! Lumbago Bay is a winner, too.

One thing I don't really get is how "Dad" implies "geriatric". I'm a dad with a teen son, walking with a cane due to a near-death experience, and most likely a grandfather, from sowing my wild oats back in my drug-addled teen days, and have an all-parents band (buncha dads and one mom), but we're still all kinds of youthful and spunky. My days of skinny androgynous beauty were decades ago, but even teenage ladies and college girls still hit on me, which is very flattering. Certainly we are way tougher and more rock and roll than any youths, and can drink and smoke and party any younger bands under the table.

Speak for yourself! I used to measure my alcohol consumption by the pitcher rather than pint. Nowadays if I have more than one 12oz beer I'm ready for bed at 8pm!

Here's an Original Gangstah tip- feel free to lie down for half an hour on a couch in the late evening, then you can drink til dawn with the hardest hitters. My ex wife can take out *anyone* in drinking, even our visiting middle aged Russian artist guys passing around their bottle of vodka can't keep up with her. She's a "mean drunk" though, that's the main reason she's my ex now cuz otherwise, damn, what a party animal, a local legend. Only ever met one person who can drink as much as my ex, an Irish business partner of hers, but that lady is a "sentimental drunk". Much prefer hugging and crying about how our kids are growing up and we hardly ever get to see them anymore, than being punched in the face and told that I'm a dirty Jew who should be put in a gas chamber. On the bright side, my band's tune "F*ck You and the Horse You Rode In On" is very authentic and heartfelt, since I wrote it for my ex.
