Sadowsky flats sound great on hollowbody basses, not sure who makes them.
Also, LaBella tape flats are great sounding on anything I put them on.

ive heard lots of guys on here throw the name d'addario name around but ive never used them myself. im looking to get the 45-100's for my hollowbody bass. what do you guys think of them?
Yeah, the D'Addario's sound good. I had a set on a '57 reissue P. I just like the LaBella sound better.I'm hooked.
LaBella says ye all? K, I'll try em. I never looked around much cause I felt nothing missing with the D'Addarios. But nothing lost in trying something new.
88ric2030,(or anyone who can answer) what kind of sound are you getting from the chromes and 4001 combo?..I'm kind of afraid to not have rounds on my Ric..Do you still get the Ric growl and bite with them or is it more of a McCartney thump? right now I have(old) Chromes on my jazz and I kinda dig the old school vibe but,I really liked them when they were new and I kinda want to try'em on my Ric,but, once I cut them for the Ric I will not be able to use them on the Jazz if I don't like it..
