That would be killer.

Would you see the second switch having its own controls or just the MBD2's 20dB switch in a foot switch?

Check it:
Basically two MBDs in one case, stackable, each with their own individual controls.

But, similar to the Palisades by EQD in the following way:
One footswitch would govern effect on/off, the other would control gain 2 (gain 2 would be dependent on gain 1 being engaged)
That way one could do a few things:
-Hit the on/off switch to engage gain 1
-Once gain 1 is engaged, gain 2 can be added (remember gain 2 cannot be engaged without gain 1 being on)
-Gain 2 can be pre-selected (on deck so to speak) so that when gain 1 is engaged you're already at gain 2
-Once gain 2 is up and running, one could cut the distorted signal completely by disengaging gain 1


Just a pipe dream though.

So just like the dual gain Hudson Broadcast but with the MBD-1 internals... sounds fun

Got mine on friday! I'm really loving it but still dialing it in. Any tips for a mild overdrive? These are the settings I've settled on for now. I also noticed when the switch is in the down position the d and g strings loose some body and sound thinner

Gain at 9 o’clock, Depth at 3 o’clock to max, clean all off, or very low. tone toggle and pot are very bass/rig dependent, you have to find your own bliss.

Congratulations! You're in the ballpark there. To start off with, I'd roll off Depth a little, try Clean and Tone at about 12:00, and adjust Gain to taste.

That will give a nice clear mild od with plenty of bottom.

What do you mean blend? The volume is attributed to the gain side and and the clean is just the the clean volume is how I understood it

Am I the only one who loves the depth on the MBD-1? When this pedal first hit talk bass, everyone was all jazzed up about the low passed clean, and how awesome it made the pedal sound. I agree it’s a very functional design for the clean signal, but for my rig, and my ear, the depth is the true magic of this pedal. Goosing the Depth is especially wonderful when the gain is set low.
