Dan Maines Clutch

Felt the urge to bump this thread.

Been a fan for nigh on 20 years and never tire of listening to Clutch. Just had Robot Hive on start to finish on the headphones. Damn that's a tight groove Dan and JP lock into. Gullah, 10001110101, Land of Pleasant Living....great, great songs.

Keep going back to the self-titled as a favourite though.

Reviving this thread. Listening to the self titled at the moment. Dan is one hell of a bass player.

Clutch is the only band that can get me out of a pissed off mood after listening to just one song. They're my happy place band. lol

Criminally underrated bassist and band. I don't think Clutch has a bad tune and they totally kill it live. Maines and JP Gaster are a phenomenal rhythm section.

Another resurrection. Dan's tone is huge live. I've seen Clutch many times bet 94-2005.
Talented bunch of guys and I highly recommend catching one of their shows.

Hellz Ya. "Clutch" is a great CD and still my fave. Dan and Jean-Paul lay down the metal stoned funk fo sho.

Another big Clutch fan here. More than a few Friday nights have been wasted just putting on the albums and jamming out from start to finish. I have seen them a few times but I cannot remember his gear for the life of me... probably partied too hard.

Huge Clutch fan here. I just saw them in NYC on 12/27/15, the band was super tight and Neil's voice was so good. The new album Psychic Warfare is excellent. Great tunes and the production is outstanding. I love the way Earth Rocker sounds but Psychic Warfare sounds even better.

Open for Motörhead a couple years ago and 4 or 5 times total now. Umma newer fan but they are a dying my breed of fantastic live bands.

I hear ya. Clutch was one band I never paid hard core attention to "i gotta see that board or rack' gear-wise. Tight-as-hell band, great tunes, great energy within the band and crowds. Def made the drinks flow real smooth...

Wish they had more dates on their 2016 American tour. They never come to Baltimore anymore unless it's a festival. Seen them many times and LOVE them. But saw them last year at Pier Six Pavilion with Mastadon, the sound was awful, no pit, and you had to stay in you seat. If there is a band I want to be in the pit for it is Clutch.
