LOL, I was kinda joking but my emoji sometimes doesn't appear.I suck at computer.Also I was talking about my sending my luthiers daughter through college.He actually made this comment jokingly to me due to our long relationship and the business I bring. It worked (emoji) this time! No it didn't.See what I mean?You forgot theemoji... not being a luthier, I do many things (myself) to make a bass playable and sounding good - but I also have a relationship with a journeyman luthier who makes my necks to my specs. He does that very well and I choose not to. Self sufficiency is not a bad thing and there's place for both in the world.

There is also luthiers' ( ' ) placed after a noun to show that the noun owns something. The luthiers' "tools" or "shop" etc.

someone just offered to trade me a recent dano longhorn for my squier mustang bass - even-steven - I think I might do it and let it wear flats!
I've used Sperzel Trim-Lock bass tuners with guitar keys. I had them professionally installed as they aren't a drop-in replacement. They're probably less expensive than one might think.
Having Gotoh SD90's installed in all three of my Dano basses atm
I think I’ve come to accept cheap tuners as just part of the Dano experience .
I've never had Danelectro tuners actually fail on me, but, none of my Danos have had weird tuners that are uncommon, or expensive to replace, if they did fail.
