Yeah, but it does seem to be in beautiful, lightly played shape. They are increasing in value though, for sure. Especially in that condition.

I play mine a lot, and the paint finish has worn down to a hmmm let's call it a patina.

I have one of those in the parts box, but without the saddles. I couldn't find saddles of the right diameter anywhere, and I didn't feel like making them, when I'm actually happy with a popsicle stick. So I cut a screw slot in the one I have and used a popsicle stick. I didn't end up using it on the current project, though, because this bridge requires cutting a trench in the body behind the bridge to accommodate the strings' ball ends, and I didn't want to do that to the body I'm using. So I used a Jerry Jones flat popsicle stick bridge I have in the box, which works without the trench.

Undoubtedly a nice Longhorn but the asking price... Like to score some of whatever they've been smoking, gotta be some really good .

I've wanted a Dano for a while and I'm about to trade for a Longhorn this afternoon. If I could find a 6 saddle bridge anywhere, I'd convert it to a Bass VI because I love VIs, but I don't want to spend $110+ for the Senn version. So, if anyone has a 6 saddle Dano bridge and nut lying around, let me know!

FWIW, the Senn bridge transformed my baritone into a playable instrument. I tried to get along with the stock bridge for 13 years before switching. So yeah, it's a high price, but I say it's worth it.

I'm sure it's worth it. Was your stock bridge a rosewood saddle, or the 6 saddle replacement that seems to be out-of-stock everywhere now?

Here's my new-to-me Longhorn, made in China, dunno how old it is. It's just the right kind of ugly. Desperately needs new strings and to be disassembled and deep cleaned.

I'll rock it as a 4 string til I find a 6 string bridge. What kind of strings do folks prefer on these? My other 30" scale basses have flats, and I think the bloomy, sproingy sound of this one might benefit from some fresh rounds.

I had the six saddle bridge. Honestly, the rosewood saddle is better.

It's gotten harder to find Danelectro bridges, and the price for one is getting closer and closer to the price of a Senn bridge.

I just replaced a set of GHS Pressurewonds with Chrome Flatwounds. The Pressurewounds were definitely brighter sounding. I guess it depends on what you are looking for.

And for what it's worth, I have no issues with the original saddle either...
