Danelectro Owners Club

I was looking at the bridge on the Guild Chris Hillman bass which has rosewood bridge saddles and thought this would be a nice direction for the bridge if Daneletro comes out with a new series. It would be the best of both worlds to have the thump of the wood bridge "AND" intonation.

Finally found my Longhorn! Big thank you to @ba$$ for hooking me up with contact info, very sincerely appreciated my friend! Took possession yesterday, I'll post photos ASAP. '98 Seafoam burst Korean built model, really good condition and plays nice too. May I have a club members number now please?

Question to the braintrust here - I want to put strap locks on it. The strap buttons on it now don't have a screw hole in the center, they're solid white plastic (I assume plastic anyway). My assumption is that they have a screw embedded and just screw in and out but don't want to damage anything trying to remove them not knowing exactly how they're mounted. Anyone here have any experience removing/replacing strap buttons on a Longhorn? TIA for any info.

Congratulations! As far as the existing strap buttons on my Korean Longhorn they were a tapered friction fit.
Unless they are different they should pull straight out. Twisting them with pliers would probably work. If the
hole is too big plug it with toothpicks or dowel and wood glue, then drill and insert your favorite straplock.
You may have to relocate the hole on the back of the neck pin a bit because the straplock will likely hit the back of the neck when you try to clip it on otherwise. I used Schaller straplocks on mine.
