Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

Is it possible to use it with headphones while also playing a backing track through them? It would be similar to using it as an audio interface for recording, allowing both the bass signal and the rest of the playlist to be heard in the headphones.
In addition to the above answers, on the Anagram in the Device Settings for the Headphone output there is additional -10dB, 0, +10dB setting to help get decent volume with different impedance headphones.
Lastly, I have to admit I’m not a big fan of Darkglass distortions. However, I find the device really interesting and it seems to offer a better user experience compared to other options on the market, along with being very portable.
I'm in the same boat. I'm not a metal player. I'm a Top 40, 80s/90s covers player. I have zero interest in the 73+ different Darkglass distortions and overdrives (OK, slight exaggeration on the number..). I was previously using a BOSS ME-90B which I was 'OK' about but it lacks MIDI control and the sounds were acceptable. The Anagram ticked every box from a functionality stand-point for what I need - Portable, MIDI control, DI output, Amp/Cab modelling and IR/NAM capture support (I play ampless these days), decent (not amazing, but decent) cross section of effects (I'm not going to hold out because there isn't a Wah block or Ping Pong Delay block) and with the latest update, really good compressors. I viewed it as the biggest upgrade I'll make, but most likely the last (well, for at least 10 years).

Always curious on this, as I'm not playing what most would consider 'metal' or djenty stuff, but I really like (and effectively utilize) a few of the darkglass drive pedals. Are you making DG blocks work for your dirt? Or are you strictly using the 'clones' they've released blocks for? (i.e. rat, sansamp, OBD3, etc.)

Before I had any multi-effects unit, I used to have an Ibanez Tube Screamer Classic TS-10 on my pedal board on those occasions that I wanted just a little warm overdrive and grit. I used to only use it lightly, because I just wanted that edge-of-breakup type of overdrive variation.

Moving to any of the multi-effects units I owned subsequently (BOSS GT-1B, BOSS ME-90B, and now Darkglass Anagram) I find the distortions and overdrives are not to my taste. They often have a high-end tinnyness I hate. The Anagram obviously has a heap of their Darkglass, and 'cloned' overdrive, distortion , and pre-amp blocks. I've really struggled to get the 'gentler' overdrive I'm after. I've put it on the back-burner as something to return to as I didn't need that type of sound for my current set list right now. I was even contemplating doing a NAM capture of my Tube Screamer if I can't manage to get the sound I want from the default blocks.

For me the B3K, in hardware and Anagram formats, is just about perfect for doing the low gain, warm it up, add a little grit thing. It’s a higher gain sound by nature, but when blended low it adds all of the things I want without creating a bloated lower midrange like so many overdrives tend to do. For reference, most of my gigs are playing RnB, soul, pop, funk, etc. Occasionally a rock song or two, but never metal.

B3K. Tone all the way off at about 40% blend. Grunt on.

Anyone knows if the Anagram can power the Morningstar MC6 Pro via usb C only?
The Anagram delivers 5V and 500mA. It is meant for powering single devices like MIDI footswitches.

These are the power requirements of the MC6 Pro:

Power Requirements
9-12V DC center negative
Minimum 250mA
Minimum 350mA if using Relay Ports
USB Bus Power (330mA current draw)
Phantom Power via MIDI Out pins 6 & 7

It should work if I understand correctly

Got it! It’s just the Anagram and the MC6 nothing else. Thank you mate!

I thought folks here might enjoy this post I just made:

Apologies @IvanBassist if I'm letting some cats out of some bags!
Hi everyone,

First off, it’s incredible to see the enthusiasm and passion around the Anagram. We truly appreciate the energy this community brings.

Regarding some of the assets that have been shared: we have a clear internal roadmap for current and future development. Many of the elements visible in the Suite are early-stage concepts. Some have been scrapped entirely, while others are much further down the line in our backlog.

We’ll be more mindful moving forward about what gets included, as sharing unfinished or experimental features can create unintended expectations.

Thanks for your understanding and continued support.

Best,
Iván

OK, post removed so that we don't spoil future surprises (like kids looking for Xmas presents before Xmas Day) and so people that don't look at things quite as philosophically don't have their expectations incorrectly set.

Can I run a stereo signal into my Anagram? If so, how?
Yeah, as @wolffire99 said, you can use the FX Loop Return as a 2nd input. The Anagram isn't really setup for stereo input so going down this route is a bit more work - physical cable splitter as mentioned above, making sure you use the Return block (the FX Loop Return 'input') in the right place in your signal chain, etc.

Out of curiosity, what are you doing (or thinking of doing) that prompted this?

I have a Chase Bliss Mood MKII and a Meris Ottobit Jr in a Cosmic Loop FX Parallelarator that outputs to stereo that I want to run stereo into the Anagram. I will then output Anagram in stereo to my Strymon PCH Stereo DI into my audio interface in stereo. I desire to use the Anagram’s stereo blocks (reverb, delay, chorus, etc.) to create ambient music. I have a crude handwritten pedalboard wiring diagram I can send via DM if you wish.

Picked up an Anagram yesterday, really enjoying it so far. I only had about an hour before I had to adult again, but a few things impressed me right away:
1. Everything regarding UX is so nice - the unit looks great, form factor is excellent, and the touch screen/menus/blocks are all really easy to understand and use. Updating was super simple.
2. Despite there not being a ton of options relative to the Stomp (yet - hopefully!), all the options sound great right out of the box, no tweaking necessary. To me anyway, all the modulation effects sound great.
3. The input/output and gain reduction metering is THE BEST. This has historically been so frustrating for me and now I never want to go back.
4. I don't even have a reason to use it, but Entropia is so fun, and it's so rad that more expansive, plug-in-like blocks even exist nowadays. Excited for the future there!
