Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

for those using the Anagram on a pedalboard, especially with an additional MIDI footswitch, what board are you using ?

Seems like the PD Nano is one choice people are making, but it's just 5.5" deep and I'd like to run my Mvave Chocolate+ in front of the Anagram.
It measures out like it should fit, but there won't be very much clearance between the Anagram and the Chocolate and I'd like just a bit of space between them .. and I need enough clearance for the TRS midi cable to connect them (although, the TRS midi cable I have is pretty flat).

I also see that there are some of you using footswitch toppers, which I can see being helpful with the Chocolate footswitches. Any recommendations for those ? (they all seem like they would work, but I have no experience with them).

so, what are you all using?

Strich mini+ 15. I really like the spacing I get with this.

Excuse the guitar-specific preset and the extra cable clip from when I had a mini pedal sideways on the front row, but here's a photo:

Not using a midi pedal with the current board but there’s room. I’m using the Pedaltrain Metro 16 (8x16) that goes in the matching silver hard case. The open space above the Anagram is where my iPad mini resides for my in-ear monitor control. As far as toppers go, I’ve tried several on other boards but currently using the D’Addario ones you see in the pic. They don’t use any set screws and simply slide loosely over the foot switch with the topper hinged up in the vertical position and then flip down to be held very snug by the compression ring. After about sixty shows there have been zero issues with them. Only con for some folks may be they are larger diameter and cover the LEDs which I don’t care about.

Also, one thing I added as you can see in the rear pic is two 3/4” inside diameter rubber feet that fit perfectly over the top two Pedaltrain short feet that give me a bit more room underneath and a bit better angle on the board.

Any other good alternatives?

KNK charges a premium shipping fee and an additional 10% PayPal fee. I don’t understand why I have to pay that if they don’t provide an option to pay with a regular card. These extra fees at checkout, along with an unrealistic delivery cost to a city that’s only five hours away by car, make it feel like a scam.

There are a few alternatives to KnK.
Shipping is the killer for most of us not based in the U.S. to all you can do is try and find the best option based on your location.

...Nano is...just 5.5" deep and I'd like to run my Mvave Chocolate+ in front of the Anagram.

If you want more clearance for some reason, correct, the Nano won't work, but the Anagram and m-vave mount flush to the edges using low profile cable ends. Reaching the m-vave switch is tight but there's enough room that it works. I bought a couple of different cables on amazon...the usb-c cables with the flat ends work and the lowest profile TRS cable was Cable Creation.

looks like you're actually getting a bit of space between the Anagram and the Chocolate, so that's cool. Have you had any issues with crowding of the various footswitches ?

I guess I could even push the Anagram a bit over the far edge of the Nano to get some space between it and the Chocolate and still be fine.

As far as cables, my Anagram deal (used) came with a Cable Creations TRS MIDI cable, so I'm good there. I am less concerned about the "back" of the Anagram.

Are you powering your Anagram with a USB Powerbank ? ... referencing the flat USB-C cable in the last pic. I plan to do the same, and mount the USB Power bank underneath the board.

With the way the angles can distort the perspective, pics can be hard to judge...not to suggest there's "a lot" of space; there's enough room that I can squeeze my fingertip in for the power switch. Tight but accomplished the goal of having the edges flush. As far as using the switches, they don't don't feel crowded or too close against the Anagram to me...to me being operative

And yes, I'm using power banks. One of the less than ideal things along the way was that I found I was getting a tiny bit of noise with the Anagram and wireless in the same battery...sometimes, most of the time, always? Rather than try to chase that down, I decided to use 2 batteries. I doubt it will realistically come up, but my thinking was that with the lower draw of the NUX, it could be a bonus if there were and emergency of running low on the Anagram, I should be able to swap them and have more remaining on the other battery.

@IvanBassist any chance we could get Linux support for Darkglass Suite? It's annoying to have to boot into Windows just to load NAMs or IRs and for some reason it's not working in Wine (and I've had no problem getting other programs like EZDrummer working in Wine).

I second this. Anagram support for the DG Suite app would be sweet too, but I think that's bound to happen somewhere down the line (?).

We are working on a dedicated Anagram editor, but I can't confirm whether it'll be supported on Linux or not.
