I mentioned synth and expanded midi in brackets after my list of 4 bullet point items. Since they are already confirmed to be in development, there is no need to place them on a "wish list". Darkglass has very quickly executed on many user requests, and I expect the synth and midi to be no exception.
The caveat being, I think many people misunderstand how much more complicated an excellently tracking and flexible synth plugin is compared to adding another overdrive block, or even the Entropia and Ignissor plugins. It will take time for them to get it right; I don't want them to take the cake out of the oven before it is finished baking, as much as I am excited to taste it
I wouldn't take his comment personally, I think at this point anyone asking for the synth is being met with a similar response from what I have seen on Facebook and Instagram. There are other features that have NOT been confirmed that the community is very interested in. I think the most efficient approach as a community is to focus our attention on raising features that have not already been confirmed. Due to the enthusiasm around the synth, I would guess that Darkglass is dedicating a significant amount of development resources to making it a reality.
The MXR bass synth took over a year of development to become a reality. I believe the Source Audio C4 took several years, as did the Future Impact.
Many folks are using the Anagram in combination with the MXR bass synth for now. The MXR has been quite popular so far. If you are interested in the Anagram and really need a synth solution in the meantime, I would recommend picking up the Anagram and the MXR now. Once the Anagram synth is ready, you could flip it for minimal loss, since it is still highly in demand and in limited supply. Just my 2 cents.
