Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

Haven't heard much from the Anagram team for a bit. There was Ivan's trip to Darkglass/Anagram headquarters, some talk of a new B15 model and possibly an upgrade to the Gentle/Noble model based on Ivans personal unit, but I have not heard anything from them for a while now.

I know there was quite a bit of upgrading/improvements going on from the time of release thru the release of the last OS version and the new compressor block, but it seems like the Anagram team have gone to ground lately.
There’s a lot going on behind the scenes. Don’t worry 😬

If I want to switch scenes or just turn any of the first 4 blocks in a chain on or off. Can I just setup 2 programs on the mvave chocolate to default to this? Regardless of preset I’m on, just some simple default switching?

I’m debating one as there so cheap and the dg one is always out of stock and I’m just wondering what the catch is with such a cheap unit?

Also is an expression pedal better into the anagram or via midi?

I checked, and it´s the longest time that I haven´t changed my Main Preset.

Bus Comp > Harmonic Booster > Trondheim SkarBassOne NAM > Alpha Omicron > Gentle > SWE > Shiftline Mesa 215 > Noise Surpressor > HPF > LPF

And Boy am I happy.
I'm intriguied. That's a lot of preamps and saturation in a single chain. What are they all doing, and do you switch between them?

Harmonic Booster has an almost "Clean" EQ, but the Character is at 7.5. it acts like a Sansamp. I liked that Pedal already in the QC and before that on my Analog Pedalboard.
The SkarBass and Alpha Omicron are my two Drives and either on or off, depending on the Character of the Drive needed. So they are off on Scene 1, Scene 2 is ScarBass and Scene 3 is the AO.
I don´t really know what the Gentle is doing. I think it´s some kind of Voodoo. But so many awesome players have a Noble on their Board, so...
And the SWE was the last update. Before that, I had no Amp Block at all. But the SWE does some kind of magic..

Just wanted to continue to give praise to the Anagram. I'm a month in using it for weekly live duty and I'm beyond satisfied with how much better it has made my playing experience. There's nothing wrong whatsoever with analog or a whole bunch of pedals, but what a treat it has been to have EVERYTHING right there in one unit.

hi folks, so my first 10 days with Anagram.

seriously, i am in love :D it is so easy to get a good clean tone on both of my basses - active / passive - sound just great even with a minimalistic setup (smth like gentle-Tiny Lark III-Modern Bass 2×10 with default values). distortion and other effects are also amazing, loving Entropia - but i am still learning to get most out of it.

Also, i think that factory presets are also great starting point - i had zero experience with processors and was bit worried about that. but using factory presets helped me understand how things work by analyzing how they are set up and what was the outcome . There are so many of them and they are very different - that helps a lot in a learning process.. Reverse Engineering at its best :)

What was confusing when i started was mastering the volume, gain and loudness of my instruments and presets itself. but once i found gain block and input gain settings - all clicked. although it took me few hours.

firmware update, loading IRs/CABs/Presets - all works like a charm. also tried using it as an audio interface with Ableton - no issues there too.

i really can't think of any big complaint or con at this time. just one purely subjective thing - i wish it has 6.3 or 4.4 headphones input as i keep losing them damn adapters :D

definitely best purchase in long long time

Is it possible to sync the anagram looper to a drum pedal like the SDRUM or beat buddy?

Anyone using the anagram as an audio interface?
I tried it as an audio interface to record some stuff with Ableton. Win 11, all works fine. No issues with connection or latency. Recordings sound like they should be - perfectly fine audio interface. I will use it from now on instead of Focusrite for my bass stuff
