Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

Does anyone know if the FET block is fixed?
I thought it was, and it’s definitely doing something but then I compared it to my Cali76 and it’s apparent one thing is compressing and the other is not. I’ve switched to the Comp/Limiter with the attack release settings stolen from my Cali and it works way better

Need help!

Ok, so I got my hands on an expression pedal, and I want to use the FX loop to integrate a Seymour Duncan Shapeshifter. I managed that fine with a TRS splitter cable, and it works great. Now when I want to use the expression pedal however (I got my hands on a Dunlop Mini), how do I integrate it? I want to use it as a volume pedal, after all FX/models but before reverb and cabsim. I'm not sure what FX loop mode to use! The manual doesn't go very deep into that, and the videos I've found online just mention how you can use an expression pedal...

Anyone got a step-by-step guide of how to do it, or a link to one that I haven't managed to find? I go from the Aux out on the Dunlop pedal, to the Exp. in on the Anagram and... then what?

You can get to the bindings for your expression pedal by either rocking it and tapping the "+" overlay when it pops up top center of the screen, or go to the bindings page itself and tap the three dot menu and select "Expression Binding". This will take you to the binding page and you can press "+" on the block to select what block and parameters you'd like to bind to your expression pedal settings.

Welp, after a few days with the Anagram - I can't say for sure if I like it or not. Gonna keep playing with it and see if it grows on me.. but honestly, besides the routing options - it's not inspiring me anymore than my pedalboard does. Granted, I tend to play through amps mostly - IEM gigs arent my norm. Maybe if I was going ampless the anagram would impress me a little more, but right now not so much. I was hoping to make it an "all in one", which it very well might be in a pinch... but as of now, I would need an external comp, a phaser and my C4. Might as well just use the other 2 DG pedals I was using on my board if I'm going that far. I haven't tried recording anything with it yet, I bought it mainly for live use.

Also, its probably 100% user error, but any combination of the fuzz block and any of the octaves give me this extra noise everytime i try to mute the strings after playing a passage. I will literally be holding the strings silent with both hands and this excess noise just trails off for a few seconds. I can't make it stop, lol.

I could see where if you needed more effects the HX Stomp would probably be the better choice; hopefully they continue to update it; but as someone who uses IEMs and wants multiple amp/DI options I love the flexibility the Anagram provides.

High gain effects (eg fuzz) will add noise to your sound. Have you tried adding a "Noise Suppressor" block at the end of the chain. Works for me.

Lets hope Darkglass also start releasing more effects such as phaser...hint, hint

I was mainly trying to recreate my signal chain for fly dates without having to bring the entire board as a carry on. I totally agree though, the amp/DI/routing is plentiful. I haven't explored the amps very much yet.

You know what, I haven't tried that yet. I don't have any of the "trailing off" with the B3K, X, or Vintage Microtubes models. As a matter of fact I normally run the X7>B7K (pedals), and my recreation of that on thr Anagram doesn't need a noise suppressor at all. Only when fuzz and octave are together.. its kinda like how a shimmer reverb/delay thing just repeats until it fades out after you stop the note.

Any other thoughts on this? I'm looking forward to something to upgrade my beaten Boss GT-1000 Core, which for a working bassist is quite powerful: 24 simultaneous blocks with no audible latency, no processor overloads, 2 FX loops, plenty of internal routing (capable of four signal paths) and I/O (minus XLR), Midi, expression and external switch ports. It has amp sims of G-K, Darkglass, Ampeg, SWR, Eden, and Boss originals (like the Cubes) all Boss effects, a lot of other pedal sims with bass versions, etc. For this price, the Anagram should be able upgrade this into "blow it out of the water" territory, but I don't see how.

I don't see either. I sold my hx stomp, tested the anagram for more than a month. I switched back to real pedals and added the hx one. I'm fulfilled. The anagram seemed fragile to me and NAM files are a pain to use.... than the routine part which is interesting but for 1080€, fashion effect.

You're comparing the two units based on a list of similar features. That doesn't tell you much in the way of actually useful information. These units all use different firmware to deliver a variety of tones. Your Boss unit, or the Line 6 HX Stomp, or the Anagram may all have the same models, but they all likely sound different. For me the Anagram blows the HX Stomp out of the water in terms of audio quality, routing, and ease of use. I've never used your Boss unit, but looking at it online my inclination for myself would be to stay with Anagram. For you that might not be the case. Demo one against your Boss. If you like the sounds more then you'll have your answer. If you don't, then you'll save yourself some money and will continue to be happy.

Are you on the current firmware?

I got back from my trip late yesterday and had to work today. I'm hoping to do some testing over the weekend on current firmware to see what results it yields.
Yes, l updated before that. I had few actual compressor pedals over the years, including Hyper Luminal, and I have Cali76 now. I dare to say I have ear trained to hear the compression effect and there’s none. No sophisticated analysis though. Looking forward to yours.

Anyone know of a list of what the amps and cabs are modeled after? I know the peggy is svt, gentle is noble, I recognize some of the cabs. But was curious of the others and have tried searching to no avail. Appreciate any info, thank you!
