Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

I have one of the TrueTone current meters - where you plug it into series between the power supply and the pedal and it will tell you how much "actual" current the pedal is drawing. My plan is to use a Cioks SOL and the "three slot" approach as many have mentioned.

Using the power supply that came with my Anagram - plugging that into the TrueTone current meter and from there into the Anagram, I only saw current draws of less than 1A from the Anagram. It fluctuated a good bit from ~700 to 875 mA. To be clear, I didn't plug a bass in and play through it to see the current draw change (which I will in the next day or so) - but it's clearly drawing way less than 2A. I can't imagine that the current draw would increase too significantly - but will report back what I find.

That little test made me very confident that my Cioks SOL could handle the Anagram, and Strobostomp HD, and my Cali76 V2.
Sorry it took so long - but I finally had a chance to do some more testing on power draw. I plugged the AC adapter into the TrueTone meter and then cabled the meter to the Anagram. Tried it with a bass on the input and the output going to an amp. I didn't bother with a headphone test given the results below. I tried a number of different anagram patches - some with 8 blocks, so a good test of CPU usage and the results didn't change.

Basically, I've come to the conclusion that while the TrueTone meter is supposed to show "---" if the current draw is above 1A, I what I'm seeing with a constant fluctuation of current draw between 585mA and like 872mA is an erroneous reading. I testing the meter with a variety of other pedals and it holds constant - so the weird fluctuation when testing with the Anagram makes me think I'm not getting a true reading. I'm suspicious that it's drawing more than 1A and the meter is doing what it is as a result of that.

Having said all of that - I'm still quite confident that the SOL will be fine using 3 outlets. They max at 660mA per outlet - so paralleled that gets me to 1980mA and given that the Anagram is "rated" at 2000mA draw, and those ratings are always pretty conservative - I think it will be fine. YMMV.

I freakin love this pedal. So intuitive and the sounds are really flexible for my needs.

Glad to hear my current tripler should do the trick! And with my SOL I can still power a Sushi Box pedal, a Cali76 or anything else I might want

OK, anagram is in the house.. first impressions.. the DI out into my interface is super quiet. If you look at the meter, I'm not even hitting halfway on input or output. Same with using a 1/4" out going into my amp.. extremely quiet compared to my normal DG pedals. Should I just use a gain block for more volume or do I need to change another setting somewhere? both factory and user presets seem super quiet

Hold down the knob on the far right to access the mixer.

killer thank you found that.. so most everything is at 0.0 db except for the one at the far right which says -12db. I'f I'm ging straight into the amp would I turn up the 1/4" out or the one on the right that says -12db?

Sorry for my ignorance, first multi-effect vs real pedals.

The one at the far right is the master and will affect all of the others. I'd use the one for the 1/4" out.

ok awesome thank you. I just figured out how to disable the "master" setting on both the XLR and the 1/4" and that helped a lot.

well in a couple of hours, I've been able to somewhat recreate my Atlas (studio 76 setting)>X7>B7K metal tone pretty closely, might even like it a little better... kinda surprised!

Was able make a really solid reggae tone as well. For some flexibility at the board, I put a noble up front with it's own xlr out for my "highs", and then all the comp/eq through the 2nd XLR for my "lows". I split the comp (bus processor) so it's parallel and pretty squishy, then adjusted the blend to bring the clean tone back in. I'm gonna bring it to my gig tomorrow night and see if it sounds good during soundcheck. On the fence so far, but might be a keeper.

this was through the Effects return of my D800+ so none of that preamp affected my tone. just used for power.

I also have the same problem, any solution?
Not yet, I have submitted the bug including the affected presets but no response / solution yet.
What type of blocks do you use, maybe we can drill down a bit more the root cause. In my case it might be the gain block which I use to add 10 dB due to a -10dB gain reduction from my wireless (bass) guitar transmitter. This gain block is the only differencr between a preset for wired vs preset with wireless bassguitar

I'm curious if anyone else has had trouble getting an account set up on the Darkglass website to update firmware. I've tried with two different email addresses, two different browsers (Safari and Chrome on a Mac) and each time get a "Whoops looks like something went wrong" message.

Oddly, the Darkglass Studio app that I've downloaded doesn't load - when I touch the app icon it blinks away and then goes back to the iPhone screen.

I'll reach out to DG but just curious if I'm the only one seeing issues. Thx!

I have 4 identical presets with variations in the settings depending on the bass I use. In all of them I have a Gain block at a different level. When switching between them the problem occurs. It could be the Gain blocks that have some bug.

You have to access the portal from their website... the hamburger menu in the top-right corner, "my pedal" link.

I have been having a similar issue as you have described with a few of my custom user presets. Only workaround I have found so far is to remove the existing gain block or send / output blocks in the affected presets, then add them back in to resolve the issue. In certain cases, there was no volume output occurring when switching between some of my user presets containing a gain or send block. There appears to be a bug due to settings applied to either gain or send blocks not being restored correctly when switching between certain user presets.
