Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

Noticed some strange behaviour in output level dropping a bit randomly, at first i thought it was my bass battery - but unplugging the Anagram and plugging it back in the volume came back. using the standard adapter.
Could also be my power outlet in my house, though i tried two different outlets.

I only updated to the first firmware update, i need to get the latest also
I have issues with random output level changes of a specific preset. In my case it depends on which preset was loaded before I switch to the preset with the output level change

The Anagram did not disappoint! Love the scene mode so much. I used it for gain staging for different sections of the songs we play. No issues with output or out of the ordinary.

My chain goes:
Hyper luminal>sub lemon>vintage microtubes>A/O>Noble>B15 NAM

Simple chain but I got my bass to sit well in the mix with no tweaking. What I set up at home sounded as is when we played in our venue and monitored via IEMs.

wanted to ask all you brave folks who are already using the Anagram for live work ... what are you running your signal into ?
just FOH with monitors ?
bass amp/cab and FOH ?
IEM and FOH ?
???

This would apply to any modeler really. I'm guessing that after you set up a solid working block in the Anagram, where it goes from there would have a meaningful impact on the final sound. Straight into FOH with monitors will probable be different than running into an amp & cab with its inherent tone shaping. I can imagine that the Anagram (and other modelers) would be outstanding for pure IEM gigs with great FOH support.

anyway, still very interested and wanted to know what you all are doing for the full live sound.

I played all weekend with the Anagram and I think I figured out my compression settings that I like as well as the tone shaping, running a Standard eq, the Compressor/Limiter using the attack/release numbers found on the Cali76 into a capture of my old Vemuram ODS-1, a Harmonic Booster for boost and the Sub Lemon for sub sounds. Those are my three foot switches. All of this being run into a Noble and then split. The first DI out gets the Noble output and the other one gets a NAM of my Tyler Amp with a hpf

Currently using it with an IEM rig, have yet to do the amp thing

I have one of the TrueTone current meters - where you plug it into series between the power supply and the pedal and it will tell you how much "actual" current the pedal is drawing. My plan is to use a Cioks SOL and the "three slot" approach as many have mentioned.

Using the power supply that came with my Anagram - plugging that into the TrueTone current meter and from there into the Anagram, I only saw current draws of less than 1A from the Anagram. It fluctuated a good bit from ~700 to 875 mA. To be clear, I didn't plug a bass in and play through it to see the current draw change (which I will in the next day or so) - but it's clearly drawing way less than 2A. I can't imagine that the current draw would increase too significantly - but will report back what I find.

That little test made me very confident that my Cioks SOL could handle the Anagram, and Strobostomp HD, and my Cali76 V2.
I'm looking forward to your report back when you watch actual draw during use.
Thanks for doing this.

I have some more power hungry pedals on my board and I am currently powering it with a PSU from Sweet Foot pedals. It is designed specifically for the HX stomp and a single 1.5A jack that I am currently using. It's not quite the 2A recommended, but it has been working fine for me so far.
I'm curious regarding your use of the Sweet Foot PSU and the Anagram. Are you running a number of blocks in your presets? Does it feel stable? Any other questions I should be asking?
FWIW, I'm running a Line 6 HXFX now, looking for a new power supply but want to be sure it will be adequate when I upgrade to an Anagram in the not so distant future.
thanks

Not sure why Anagram owners are brave. Anagram runs fine XLR to FOH or 1/4 to DI then XLR to FOH… just like my Line 6 Stomp XL does. I must be brave too because I’ve done this with 2 multi-fx pedals? 🤷‍♂️
brave because in reading this thread I see any number of issues early adopters are having with this new device. I am not a brave early adopter and while I am interested in a multi-FX device like the Anagram (or Quad Cortex) that might simplify my gigging life, I already have a solid pedalboard for the FX I really need, so I am not feeling any serious pressure to become a brave early adopter.

but good for you though!

Any issues are fairly minor. It's compact, powerful, and sounds great. I have no desire to be a beta tester, however.

Personally, I have to stick with it being a risky commitment at this stage. At home, I'm playing around with it a lot, and the amount of bugs I'm encountering is staggering. Complete crashes when editing the blocks or jumping through presets, requiring a full restart. Blocks misbehaving out of nowhere, etc... Last night, I used a different bass on it for the first time, and the amount of crashes were scary... I don't know why, could the bass have been an issue?!... So yeah, I really hope the beta program helps accelerate fixing all this.

I still had a great experience on stage with it on Saturday. Looking forward to gigging more with it.
