Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

Just want to make sure I'm not missing something. The primary benefits of Bluetooth getting activated are:

1. Wireless app control
2. Using wireless headphones/buds instead of the headphone out jack
3. Using wireless source (phone/iPad/etc) for audio in
I’m really only looking forward to point number one. I don't like kneeling on the floor to tweak a preset.

You're comparing the two units based on a list of similar features. That doesn't tell you much in the way of actually useful information. These units all use different firmware to deliver a variety of tones. Your Boss unit, or the Line 6 HX Stomp, or the Anagram may all have the same models, but they all likely sound different. For me the Anagram blows the HX Stomp out of the water in terms of audio quality, routing, and ease of use. I've never used your Boss unit, but looking at it online my inclination for myself would be to stay with Anagram. For you that might not be the case. Demo one against your Boss. If you like the sounds more then you'll have your answer. If you don't, then you'll save yourself some money and will continue to be happy.
Thanks. I'll have to wait to have it available in my country. There are no units yet, so I'll keep reading meanwhile :)

Just wanted to share that I had a bit of a breakthrough with my Anagram today. I've been testing various methods of capturing my own pedals via NAM with mixed success. Sometimes I'd get good results, but it took a lot of experimentation gain staging along the way. I had the most success using the IK Multimedia AXE I/O One since it's built (partially) for reamping. But today I used the USB interface of the Anagram to do the capture instead (sending the signal to it via the virtual input) for the NAM test tones and then capturing the result on a totally clean preset using ONLY the effects loop block. The results were incredible. 1:1 copies, finally. I'm shocked how well NAM captured my gated fuzzes as well (TAFM, Oxide, Mastotron). I've been a long time user of Kemper and Tonex and never had success capturing gated fuzz. I'm so happy. If anyone is looking for more a tutorial, I could do a dedicated post.

Been waffling on keeping the Anagram.. stuff sounded good, but something just felt off. I was having issues with some noise, some odd artifacts, blocks just acting kinda strange... after trying just about everything I finally decided to move pedals off a board and power it up with my Cioks Sol (using 4 outlets) over the stock power supply...

... Its a whole new ballgame! My stock power supply must be screwed up. There is barely any noise anymore, if any.. no more artifacts or random static when playing or adjusting knobs, waaaaaay cleaner all around, just a much more pleasant experience. It's a big difference.

If any of you are having sonic weirdness you cant identify, I highly recommend trying a different power supply like the Cioks. In my case it seemed to fix some of my issues.

Is It just me, or is Darkglass.com down on the exact day I got a used Anagram? I need the manual.
Yep. Looks like a possible DNS issue redirecting to a shopify page that’s not yet ready. (The public IP A records shown are also shopify)

Great news! Do share your Oxide NAM if you don't mind =D

Site is back up, and it’s completely overhauled.

Seems some polishing still needs to be done. You’ll find the manual on the Anagram product page when you click on the Support button where the page is titled F.A.Q Digital Pedals, but seems to be the manual content. :)

Can someone please compare and let me know what the default factory values are from the mini mixer?

Trying to determine if I’ve modified mine, are your settings different?

You can click the knobs above the corresponding mix to reset them to default. All of them are defaulted at 0.0dB, except the master, which I think is -6dB. So your master and headphone out is boosted compared to factory.

I did this for the main vol and headphones, it looks like the main is -12db… glad to know the reset is easy, thanks.

I would greatly appreciate the tutorial if you're up for it!

Does someone have experience with a sudden massive noise increase when enabling the fx loop?
Anagram has been performing very fine some weeks. But suddenly I get massive noise on the loop.
Might be related to the stereo setting. When that it set, I even get noise with no cables attached to the port and the auto-detect seems to not work. Setting to mono kicks in the auto-detect with no cable attached and also is ok with short circuting the loop.

This isn't an Anagram-specific question, but I'm curious what folks have been doing as a solution for this: I have some gigs where I'll just be brining Anagram, most commonly fly dates where bringing my full pedalboard is a hassle. I also have some gigs locally where I can afford the luxury of bringing Anagram on a pedalboard with a few other goodies. For Anagram-only gigs I'd like the rubber feet to be on the bottom but they get in the way of the 3M Dual Lock I use on my board. Seemingly I can't have both, so my intended compromise is to remove the rubber feet and the 3M Dual Lock on the Anagram act as feet, which is less ideal but not really that big of a deal. Has anyone come up with a solution to retain rubber feet and also allow easy pedalboard attachment?

This is what I did with mine and i can use with both on my board or on its own

I’ve tried that in the past with other pedals and could never get the dual lock or velcro to make contact with the rubber feet installed. Maybe the Anagram feet are low profile enough to work with Dual Lock. I’ll give it a shot. I’d be very happy if the answer was just “install both and it’ll work” 🤣

You could use some „double sided Dual Lock“ to fill the gap. Just take two pieces of it and stick them together on the glue side. Not the most elegant solution, but it has worked quite well for me.
