Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

This isn't an Anagram-specific question, but I'm curious what folks have been doing as a solution for this: I have some gigs where I'll just be brining Anagram, most commonly fly dates where bringing my full pedalboard is a hassle. I also have some gigs locally where I can afford the luxury of bringing Anagram on a pedalboard with a few other goodies. For Anagram-only gigs I'd like the rubber feet to be on the bottom but they get in the way of the 3M Dual Lock I use on my board. Seemingly I can't have both, so my intended compromise is to remove the rubber feet and the 3M Dual Lock on the Anagram act as feet, which is less ideal but not really that big of a deal. Has anyone come up with a solution to retain rubber feet and also allow easy pedalboard attachment?

Put dual lock on the feet and buy 3-4 replacements. Because of course you’ll lose them.

Question... I just did the latest firmware update a day or so ago and I'm getting a weird thing happening. Before the update, if I hit both footswitches to move to the next bank, whatever preset was in the A position of that bank showed up.

Now, trying to scroll banks, it goes to this screen below and I have to physically choose what preset I want. It doesn't just automatically go to the A preset in the bank. How do I go back to just seeing the A preset of the next bank without having to take this extra step of selecting a preset? Thanks!

I think you’re currently in preset mode. When in preset mode, if you use the foot switches, you’ll cycle through the banks. You may have been in stomp or scene mode, where when you use both foot switches, it will go to the next scene in the next bank. You can change modes by holding the C switch or click on the mode on top right while viewing the preset. The colors of the switches also correspond to the mode you’re in, white is for preset, stomp has different color for each and scene mode is blue

Yes, I am in preset mode and I'm trying to go from say bank 6 to bank 7 as seen in my photo. If I click both footswitches to scroll up to bank 7, I get the screen in my post above- instead of just going directly the preset in slot 7A.

But isn’t the first preset selected already? The light indicates that “A” is active?
I just tested to see if that was happening and nope. Its still on the preset that was selected before I tried to scroll to the next bank.

For example , in the factory preset manager, I just selected 03C, Supercali. That preset comes up showing all the blocks. If I stomp the foot switches to scroll to preset bank 4, I get the screen in pic 3 below, and I'm still on preset 03C from the previous bank. I have to physically step on one of the footswitches or touch the screen to get to the next preset.

Switch to stomp or scene mode and it will work as you want it to.
If you hold the right footswitch you can also cycle through the modes

Ok gotcha. I get it now. I knew about holding the right footswitch to switch modes.

It just seems counterintuitive that I can't scroll the same way in preset mode if I'm only using presets and not scenes or stomps. I just reread the manual regarding this and it's clearly there so my bad. I guess I misread or got functions swapped in my head for some reason.

Testing Hyper Luminal again today and I'm happy to report that I'm finally able to measure gain reduction from it. I don't know which version of the firmware resolved this issue, but my install is now functioning. I'll also state that it compresses pretty minimally when comparing 20:1 settings with other software and hardware compressors I have available, and it still likes a hot signal at input. To my ears it generally requires more heavy-handed settings than I would typically expect from a compressor and isn't capable of maximum squish if that's what you're going for. I never go for that kind of sound, so I'll close by saying that it does sound nice. I haven't decided if I prefer Hyper Luminal or Bus at this point.

What firmware version are you using? Beta?

I actually designed and 3D printed a mount for this very reason. I wanted it to clip into my main board but be able to use it solo as well. Been using this version for about a month now and it's been working great.

I tried having 4 clips, but it ended up either being too hard to get the Anagram in or too brittle and broke.

That’s impressive work!

That looks pretty cool! How does the unit clip in?

I just angle the bottom in a little bit and push down. Then the clips slide over the corners and I can plug everything in. And to remove, I just pull the clips back slightly and it lifts right out. At first glance it doesn't look super sturdy, but with the rubber feet on the bottom of the Anagram, it prevents it from coming out pretty well.

Is the printed material soft enough to not be a concern for scratching the top of the Anagram case as it slides in and out of the clips?

How do we submit feature requests? I (prematurely) sold my Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe that I use with an expression pedal to control filer cutoff. My expression pedal (Moyo, I love it) is controlling the cut off filter in the Mo**erF***er effect, but I am jumping from 0 to 4 (out of 10) as soon as I start to toe down and the desired effect range I'm trying to control is more like 1 to 3 on the Mo**erF***er vs. 0-7 or 8 on the Xerograph.

I don't know the pot value of the Moyo, but it should not matter since I have 'calibrated" the Anagram to the expression pedal. I'd like more of the curve for the expression or something like the control like in the HX stomp, where you can assign a parameter range (say, 1-4 vs 1-10) to the expression vs. 0 on the effect parameter is toe up and 10 on the parameter is toe down.

Would you be willing to share the file for your design? I'd love to print one as well! Curious if you used PLA or a different print material?

Thanks! Jeff
