IRs are not depending on the device. Its mostly a .wav File which you can upload to (I think) any IR loading device.

How to use it? Upload it via the Suite on your Computer and Chose the file in the IR Block (Amps and Cabs, the brownish Cab)
As IRs are „steady“ You can Only EQ Blend and Level.

As someone who only recently starting playing bass: Is there some list explaining the different cabinet types, microphones and microphones positions and occasions where one would use them?
It’s a bit complicated to first research what the fake names could be and then try everything.
Maybe someone has tips for this case:
I am split chaining my lower frequencies into an octaver and microtubes x, higher into a Beam Splitter in the fx loop. Generally am happy with the sound. But wondering if some cabs might separate the sound slightly better.

Another thing I am running into:
Putting a NAM like the wooly mammoth or the Komrade after the fx loop adds quite the high base noise level. (Also with all pedals in Bypass, just a short cable) Modelled amps or fuzz are fine with the loop. Tried hpf and lpf after the loop but couldn’t reduce it.

Have Darkglass announced any planned updates or roadmap for features yet? Still sat on the fence, missing some of the perks of having a multifx after selling my QC but appreciating having the option to scale my board down to a RB Duo 2.1 etc.

It'd be cool to know what the future holds in terms of new functionality as I'm still not sold at all on the preamps and drives they've included.

I'll probably experiment with some NAM captures to see if it can handle my 0xEAE Bass Driver that the QC struggled with when I get my hands on a reamp box.

There’s a bit of a learning curve for me, but I’m really liking it so far.
The presets others have made are helpful for sure.

Outside of the next upcoming update to enable MIDI functionality, I'm not sure they've announced anything else. In interviews, the CEO wants to prioritize the introduction of a SDK for 3rd party developers to create their own blocks and functionalities... It's apparent Darkglass is a very small outfit, and don't have the internal capacity to massively expand the device themselves, outside of basic features and bugfixes...

Who knows though, as they did not expect this level of success. With this amount of demand and usage, it's more than critical for them to diligently update and stabilize the device continuously.

I’m really hoping they can keep their heads on. Software dev is no easy meal.

Sometimes churning out hardware is much much easier than maintaining software over the same time frame.

There is no free lunch, as they say.

I’ve got a question for the Anagram hive here, I have the new MXR synth pedal that I want to integrate to use with my Anagram.

What’s the best way? To use send/return or beginning of chain with instrument into the MXR and then into the Anagram? Or end of chain?

Exactly... the hardware is one and done... the software is what makes it or breaks it... Look at the Quad Cortex... It was released in 2020... State of the art hardware, but it took a least 3-4 years to reach a proper maturity level with exhaustive development work, and it's still on-going... It won't be different with the Anagram

Yeah I hope it doesn't take the direction that the QC heads down where the vast majority of the development is channelled into DLC. The 3rd party stuff is cool in theory but I hope they keep momentum up on delivering QOL additions.

Some kind of dev blog would be cool to get a little more insight into current focuses and plans. Early days though! Despite a few bugs and teething pains, its been a pretty phenomenal rollout.

My view on it is that it seems like it does all I need it to do NOW (I haven't got mine yet, still waiting...) but of course I am also really looking forward to what it may end up doing in the future and how it's capabilities will expand over time. NAM compatibility and footprint made the difference for me vs the Quad Cortex, which ended up being too much.

Some kind of marketplace where 3rd party developers/companies can sell their effects and models would be very welcome too. That would really differentiate it from the competition and enable a lot more content to be added more quickly.

Hello, apologies for yet another power supply question :D

I am planning to land on a Cioks DC-7. How do I actually use the Flex Cables for combining three or four outputs via the #8800: CIOKS Parallel adapter Flex?
My assumption is that this could be how it is done, but if someone can confirm this actually works, please?

Hello @IvanBassist do you have any thoughts on best approach here?

I’m currently using beginning of chain, but it is coming in super loud.
