Darkglass parts?

The drive footswitch on my alpha omega ultra started malfunctioning recently. Sometimes it turns sometimes it doesn’t. I took it apart and cleaned it but that did not help. Anyone knows where I can get replacement parts? This is what I need. Thanks for any suggestions

Most likely it isn’t that part that is the issue but the foot actuator/spring that engages that switch- the switch is just a momentary relay that bounces between “open” and “closed” when pushed. The actuator that DG uses seems prone to these kinds of issues and they know it and often seem to send replacements out for free if you contact their customer service about it. You can also try messing with the spring and foot actuator parts and how they are oriented above the switch and may be able to fix it without a new part. Never heard of anyone needing to replace the actual switch that you pictured here- the reason they use these is that they see very little mechanical wear and so rarely wear out (unlike a typical mechanical latching footswitch)

Thanks I’ll try that! The idea popped j to my head but I thought “it’s just a spring, what could go wrong with it”. The switch itself seems to react mechanically just fine. I’ll pop it open again and see

Check spring alignment/centering against the switch (just a little shift could make it unreliable), you could try to stretch the spring out a bit to increase pressure, adjust the foot actuator part so it sits farther into the pedal to increase pressure on the spring, etc. worth a try!

messed around with the spring a bit, without success. tried to press the actual button with my finger to check response and it appears that sometimes it works fine, sometimes it does not. so this may actually be one of those cases where the actual button is at fault... I'm afraid I still need to find the replacement... will have to contact Darkglass I'm afraid, but I've had the pedal for years, so definitely out of warranty... thanks for your help

And not only I got 3 instead of 1 part I was looking for I got a whole lot more juuuust in case I wasn’t as thorough in troubleshooting my issue. So happy to see that there are still companies that really do care!!!
Awesome! Unfortunately these foot actuators do seem to be a common issue with newer DG stuff, so good to have the backups on hand! I’ve also had great customer service from DG- of course it’s nice to not ever need to take advantage of customer service in the first place, but at least they’ve done me well when I needed it!
