I have a bass with an active EMGs in it. These are the truly active pickups with 9V feeding into the pickups as well as the preamp. I’d like to swap the EMG preamp with a tone capsule. Is the tone capsule capable of functioning with active pickups? Their documentation doesn’t mention this setup. I do know some preamps can do active or passive as I have already tried a Noll in there and it works fine. But I recently removed my tone capsule from a different bass and I’d like to repurpose it into this active EMG bass. Does anybody have any info on this? A yes or no would be great to start. A diagram would be even better. Many thanks!
