Sounds like the black is going to be a full on production run, huh? While the granite stone is limited? On-board effects are always strange to me (especially when I have the AO900 as my amp), but I'm into it. Amos Heller's playthrough/review of this was fun to hear this morning.
Not for me but they look really cool! You'll probably be one of the first folks to receive one, looks like you ordered about the instant they came up for sale eh? Hope you'll post pics and review when it arrives!

Pricewise they are about the same as a normal Stingray Special. That surprises me. I thought they would be more expensive.
But without the Musicman clean preamp I think the typical Stingray tone will also be lost or less.

I have quite a few Darkglass pedals and a few Stingrays. I can get the tone of this bass and have a lot more control over the sound. That being said, I’m still interested.
Really surprised this sounds as underwhelming as it does in the official demos. This pairing should be a no brainer, but it just sounds muddy and fizzy and terrible. I guess that's to be expected when you DI distortion, just hard to believe that a whole production team and/or marketing team would sign off on that.
Love it. All about putting the effects in the bass haha!

I kind of lost my bass enthusiasm during COVID after 37 years of playing. I don’t know, something about this bass ignited something in me. Might not be for everyone of course, but I’m looking forward to it and will share thoughts (good and bad -IMO) when it arrives.
