Darkstar in Musicman Sweet Spot?

Has anyone placed a Darkstar in the Musicman Stingray sweet spot? Do they sound good there?

I'm only asking because I'm drawing pictures of basses with big chrome pickups. DS's seem to fit the big chrome pickup bill.

It won't sound like a MM pickup but it's a big sounding pickup so I would imagine it would sound just fine. For reference, here's a clip of a jazz bass equipped with 2 DS pickups and the solo bridge sound is plenty snarly.

Was almost think the same with a Darkstar pup I have laying around but in a Sub Ray4 bass.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I was wondering how close you can get to the bridge and still have a respectable low end. I always see pictures of DS's dropped into a P or a J, and the Guild has the pickup pretty close to the bridge. However, the Guild is a short scale, which would be a little different than dropping one into a long scale solid body. Again, this is all hypothetical and I'm just drawing pictures at this point. I was sort of envisioning a single PU closer to the bridge than a P, and I was thinking the DS just 'cuz they look (and sound) awesome.
