For those that are into gospel, he's probably my favorite player. Trying to transcribe his lines might be one of the most difficult things I've done so far because he's pretty busy. Anybody ever tried to play some of his stuff?

Darrell Freeman (Gospel) transcriptions??

We use to do some of the early Marvin Sapp tunes that Darrell played on like in 05-06. Wasn't that hard but you definitely had to really concentrate and listen on what he was playing,nonetheless it was great music to learn and play .
I think mainly his fills and approach notes can't be a little busy. At least for me. If you have some tips let me know lol
More times than not my approach to any tune that I learn I'll listen to some of the licks 1st and then I'll learn the tune but to be honest with you, I'll just will play my own lick to substitute the one that's in the song or there are times I won't play it all, but there's nothing wrong learning it if a player chooses to do so. Hope this helps.
