If he's sincerely trying to do the right thing for the people he owes, it almost seems reasonable. He must catch a lot of flack still
Dr B. wasn't always a ripoff, sad that it became that way in the end. I finally got mine, and if I may say so, it's a helluva nice cab, my favorite. Feel really bad for the folks that lost out. I'm not sure whether it was really malice or more just business incompetence.
I'm shocked this poor fellow hasn't had had his name legally upgraded to Mud. Matter of fact, since he does CT type basses, he could build a My Name is Mud limited edition tribute bass and pay some bills if Claypool signs it.
Sounds like his mental state is a wee bit fragile to be hangin' much with Mr. Claypool.

I don't trust anything this guy says, I just hope that all the people waiting get something out if it.
He'd probably give it to Les and publicly crow that he's shipped a bass to one of his waiting customers!

Have any famous players used to this guys instruments? Has anyone using his instrument appeared on a multi platinum selling album? Or been seen a national TV? Why would you order a bass from this guy?
I ordered from Dr. Bass quite a bit earlier than that. It took nearly 2 years, but I got a very nice cabinet. I almost feel guilty for all the folks that didn't get what they paid for, but why should I feel guilty? My deal with him worked out ok eventually. I feel bad, but there's not much I can do to help the people that got ripped off. I won't be giving away or selling my favorite cab.
True, but I'm guessing he doesn't have one as a matter of personal choice and mental health. If his mental state is questionable, he's not likely to find help out there on the wild west of the interwebs. It's pretty obvious he is not a good businessperson. You can't force someone to participate in the online world, even if it would be in their best interests (which I doubt is the case for this messed up soul).
Interesting craigslist find for those concerned with Huff basses. Looks like one is for sale at a local pawn shop.

Guessing it's a consignment thing for Huff to get paid if it sells...but what about those people he cares so much about that are still waiting for the basses they paid for?
