He played Dean on the last Megadeth tour. Probably a Mustaine thing but whatever.

Mustaine thing ???
JGR, all I have to do is laugh at that Jackson MF is selling...what an ugly unit I l.o.v.e. Jacksons, but I would rather spend my 4grand ( 4grand ?!? ) on something nicer looking
should have made it a HH not a P/M blech, and that HUGE switch? OMG![]()
oh I know you did, and a fine model it is(nt)I would agree - damn pricey too. I just posted it since it was sort of similar to what folks were talking about.

Yeah, Mustaine had a bad split with Jackson & plays Dean guitars now. I'd figure that if Ellefson normally plays Jackson but played Dean on the last Megadeth tour that it was something decided by Mustaine. It's just a hunch & I could be wrong.
Got an email back:
"Hey Mike,
Thanks for your email. Keep checking the website for the latest info. All our new products will be coming out mid-January 2011. You might be surprised! "
i've never seen ellefson play a dean bass. i know he was playing his signature peavey, but besides that all i've seen him play is his new jacksons on the recent tours...
Nope, it's a Jackson. The bass is this one:
Cheers!
except a bolt-on for under 1000.00 like the CMG, not a customshop NT@4grandyup, that's the one.. i really hope they start making something like that again.
