David Ellefson Jackson bass

Expect the new USA Customshop Limited Edition Ellefson RIP Concert Basses to run around high 2000 and low 3000 for both the 4 and 5 string respectively.

They come in Black or Quicksiilver and will have an RIP logo on the hardshell case and come with a Biohazard wrist guard.

Only 60 pieces being produced so order now through select dealers!

This is great marketing on Fender's part and I suspect cheaper import models should surface if these sell well.

All I know is I've got dibbs on 2!

but that's the biggest issue that people on here have been discussing for months...

3-4grand is just not practical for bringing back the pointys..NT/BO whatever, that's just a small run of a sig series which is s.t.u.p.i.d!!...
Talk to Fender or Gibson already about sig series for 1000-1500.00, they will sell you plenty of models for that.

and even though it is leaving out the masses for purchasing such an expensive bass for 3-4grand, they BETTER HAVE EACH AND EVERY ONE SIGNED BY DAVE :rollno:
( no offense to anyone, but if I had to pay 4grand for something, it would be a Jackson custom made to MY specs, not some fan-club model )
I'll wait for the cheaper ones to surface next year :)

I found a used Ellefson 4 string at a local GC. Price is $250, thoughts on that? Good deal?

I played a 5 about 6 months ago. It felt and sounded really good, but the bass boost in the preamp was rediculous. I don’t know if it was a boost-only, but I had to roll it all the way back for it to sound “normal”.
