Bass is finish sanded and ready for several coats of lacquer. Took this hardware mock up for the customer:

Started applying the finish. Here's how it looked this afternoon.

DougP: There is no fretboard radius. The customer asked for a flat board and wide string spacing (it makes it easier to reach lower notes on a wide board).

Thonk: I agree, but the customer didn't want the extra expense of custom wooden knobs. He likes how these look anyway.

Sweet,that quilt has really popped out i think you just made me want to buy a maple top for my next bass even though i still have'nt start to build my first yet well shame he didnt want to go with wooden control knobs

just goes to show the customer is'nt always right i guess ,cant wait to see some super high rez pics when she's all dressed up
