Dayum it's cold!

Hi,

I thought NYE was a cold load out ... tonight it'll be minus sumthin' and windy at load out. Gonna be frigid. Yesterday I asked Siri for the local temperature. Her reply "Brrrr! It's 12 degrees!".

Please don't hate me. I'm loading out for our Disney gig tonight. It's 71ºF here. No layers for me. ;)

Stay warm! Take care.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Went to work yesterday in a balmy 17 degrees and came home in a thermally challenged 5. Record cold temperatures predicted for tonight even without factoring in wind chill. According to the local news the last day above 32 was Christmas. The good news is it's supposed to hit 48 on Friday. I'll be going to work in shorts. And no, it's not a gig. ;)

Sun just went down and temp. is 24 and dropping in N.C.. Looks like another cold night. This is setting a record for us here for consecutive hours below 32 degrees. 159 hours and it will be broken on today at 5:00pm.

10 F here in Eastern NC. The 6 inches of snow we got days ago is still all there in my yard. That never happens here. Usually it's 55 or 60 degrees within 48 hours of the snow and it's all gone except the ugly piles in grocery store parking lots. But we're at several days below freezing here too. And it's not expected above freezing here until Monday. I have never been so excited about the possibility of a 55 degree rainy day!

The fact that some of you guys live like this for months out of the year jist makes me want to remind you of something.

It's legal to move, ya know!!!!

As for @BassCliff , :spit:!!!!!

:wacky:

I'm visiting my son and his family in Glenning Valley, NSW, Australia right now and it's summer here. We hit 104° today. I'm headed to a beach now that is about 5k (3 miles) away so I can jump in the water to cool off!

Metro NYC. 5 degrees right now.. This has been a very long cold spell with sub freezing temps..since Christmas...all snow has frozen solid.
Temps will normalize this upcoming week.

I like the winter months but as I grow older I’m extra careful with this weather and avoid icey sidewalks at all costs.. really afraid of slipping..

Got home about 1:00am- I’m, also, the PA guy... can’t leave anything (electronics) in my van- sooo several cart-loads into my condo whilst its 7 degrees... brrr!

Ironically- the venue was like an oven :jawdrop:
