Got home about 1:00am- I’m, also, the PA guy... can’t leave any (electronics) in my van- sooo several cart-loads into my condo whilst its 7 degrees... brrr!

I've lived in ski resorts in Australia prior to moving to NZ last week and I've never understood why so many venues and lodges are heated so much that you need to remove every layer as soon as you get indoors.
We've been in the -5 to 15 range since right after Christmas. I can handle 20, 30 area, this I taking my will to live. Thursday it's predicted to hit 60, typical Cincinnati living.
I shouldn't complain here in central South Carolina because it's only like 15F tonight, but a pipe burst in the house the other day flooding the tv room and now the water feed from the well is frozen.
Used to be in a band with a house gig for several winters at a big club in the ski resort Killington, VT, where it would regularly get down below 0. Amazing how hot it it would get in there with ~1,200 bodies raving and dancing. Fortunately we were able to stash our equipment there so avoided the painful load outs. But the fingers can really slow down in that weather...
You folks up north stay safe and warm.

My Extended family have been reporting from N.Y......Bitterly cold there too.
Believe it or not, living in Australia (and being English) I actually miss that cold. In the Tropics here it NEVER get's cold. I don't even own a coat. Trying to make you jealous? Not at all - relentless o.t.t. heat is not all it's cracked up to be. I miss the Season's. Christmas time here is often 35C - Alien - even after all these years.

It's not as cold as when I lived in Minnesota (my record is -42, without wind chill. Luckily three was no wind that night) but I don't live in Minnesota anymore for a reason.

I don't know how people do it... it's been frigid, to say the least, here in central Ohio, since before Christmas. A couple of days ago, was going into work, cresting a small hill (train tracks, underneath) and car was registering -11 degrees... Bundle up, folks!
I’m in southwestern CT right on Long Island Sound about 48 miles from NYC. Temp is at -10 degrees right now without wind chill. Won’t hit 5 degrees until around noon. That’s an unprecedented low for around here. Single digits are pretty rare and zero is a banner day. But 10 below? I don’t think so.
On the bright side, they’re predicting tomorrow will be in the balmy low 30s. My GF is thinking about what bikini to wear.
Biggest challenge is trying to convince our new 15 lb. nine month old dog Fender that it’s ok (for this morning at least) to relieve himself on the newspapers we put by the back door. We got lucky with this one. He was born housebroken and was already asking to go out the first day we had him. So he’s extremely dubious about it. (Note his “I’m thinking” wrinkle on the top of his head.)

We’ve got friends up that way who invited us over this weekend. Lucky us we had something come up and had to
postpone.
I lived in Boston (Newton Centre actually) for six years including the famous “Blizzard of 78.” So I know Massachusetts winters. But even that (-10) doesn't touch 19 below. That’s just too damn cold.
Was -10 (with wind chill) here on long islands north shore out east. The dog loves it, I don’t. Fortunately I just bought a great parka a few weeks ago so I’m not freaking out, but this really sucks.

Last night my wife assured me that when we retire, we will be moving south. I said "How about Aruba?" She liked the idea.
