DB Bass elbee and embee cabs

I was a member of this forum years ago but, after some time away, have re-registered using the lazy 'Log in through Facebook'.

I currently run a TC Electronics RH450 and RS210 rig and it is great. I still love it after 5 years or so.

As I travel to gigs using public transport a lot, and I am not getting any younger, I have decided to look for a lightweight cab or combo to save my back when having to lug a trolley packed with gear up and down stairs at train stations.

PJ Bass was an option as were MarkBass but the combos didn't have the RH450's characteristics at all. That's why I opted for that amp in the first place.

So, on the hunt for a cab under 10 KG but able to cope with the RH450 I was pointed in to the direction of Link Removed and his Link Removed in particular.

I had a few minutes to try one of these out as I dropped my bass off for a service and they had an RH450 in.

I was amazed at how the little 30cm cube (more-or-less) handled the amp. I had the RH450 turned around to the 3 o'clock position and it wasn't breaking up.

At 8.8 KG/19.40 lbs it has definitely scurried to the top of my list.

Has anyone else here tried one out. I'm waiting to see if I can borrow one to try out at a rehearsal.

Interesting, but is it really $786 US?
Why not get an sl112 Aguilar? 11.3 kg, $749 US.

Is small size the attraction?

Yup, I was looking for something as light as possible as I travel to gigs and sessions on the underground and by bus and train. Also, living in London, I don't have much space for my gear as well as everything else so the actual physical dimensions were a consideration too - especially as I sometimes have to bring everything to my day job and go straight from there to a gig.

Even though I did go over my initial budget the elbee just impressed me so much. If I had a small car or could afford taxis then the SL112 may have been an option as I did fall in love with how it looks in the limited edition Cabernet, but that would also have cost me an extra £150 on top of what I paid for the elbee

I have the same situation and have two wizzy 10's from euphonic audio. if theres ever more of a need for sound theres a house system. one on each side of the drummer usually makes them happy, and they weigh nothing.

they still come in black too. or find some used ones.
