DDT strings?

I was going to buy the DDT DR strings when I noticed there are heavy, medium and regular. What are the differences? I only tune down a whole step. Should I go for regulars?

Just refers to the gauges. They aren't really all that heavy to be honest.

The difference is tension. If you want to understand gauges and tension, study the daddario tension chart pdf.

The 65-125 will be dangerously tight at DGCF.

i attempted the 65-125 without understand the physics of how it works and my d and g string broke..

Yeah, ouch. 65 is heavy even for a D string, let alone a G.

I would never use a higher gauge than .45 for a G or .60 for a D, even if I frequently down-tuned.
