This. I’m not sure that I’ll ever understand why there are so many Fender copy basses flooding the market.
There's a huge void between FSOs and the totally weird. Ibanez makes the case of it being so.
Ever notice carbon copies of designs in the automotive industry? No? It's because each brand wants to be distinct and identifiable.

So we should just resign ourselves to playing Fenders? If that's your stance then there should not be FSOs, because they're ripoffs, right? "Leo did it right the first time, so no need to innovate"? All non-Fender manufacturers should be eliminated?lol...
